Hey I'm moderately new to SC2, only been playing for a few months, but I have some friends that play tourneys and consistently winning money. I only have a starter account and any of the tourneys I have found are for bronze and up only. Does anyone know if there are any tourneys that literally anyone (even those with a starter account) can join? OR if anyone is willing to set some up?

I don't think these exist, can you even play custom matches online with a starter account, after a certain amount of time?

Just buy the game - if you're out to win money, consider it an investment

Hi! Love your enthusiasm for Star2, There are tournaments that are for BSG (Bronze-Silver-Gold) and you can theoretically join them, however the main problem is that since you only have a Starter Account, you wont be able to use other 1v1 maps aside from XNC and Shattered Temple. That's not going to work because you wont be able to play on the other maps in the pool.

Don't play the game to win money, you will begin to hate playing SC2 and thus never get good enough to even win money.

Just play to have fun, and if you invest a lot of time into it, you will naturally become good

Thanks for the help! I dont really have the money to buy the game cuz of school and being between jobs but wanted to get into some tourneys just for the fun of it. My friends have been playing for a couple years so i wasnt expecting to win much if at all, just wanted the challenge. again, thanks for the advice! This forum will quickly become my go to for sc help
