A few months ago I was raving about how awesome this cheap Indie game called "Trine" was. For those of you who missed it, you should definitely check it out. You can probably get it on Steam for like $10 or something.
It's essentially the coolest puzzle platformer since The Lost Vikings. It involves simultaneously playing 3 unique classes - a Knight, a Rogue and a Wizard - which bring a range of different abilities to the table. Players must utilise each of these abilities in various synergies and scenarios to complete the challenges set out in the game.
So now the sequel is only days away, and what makes this one so awesome? It has co-operative play!! In the screenshot below, we can see the Wizard summoning a block and levitating it in the air so that the Rogue has a Grappling point to swing from, allowing them to bypass the pit of spikes.
I definitely recommend heading over to Steam and pre-purchasing this game now, it's set to be some of the most fun you can have with a friend whilst wearing pants.
Dox, not sure what the video you've posted is, but TotalBiscuit has a WTF is Trine 2 with a prerelease build of the game. I've only watched the beginning of it, but it did look intriguing. Now I've just gotta find my copy of Trine 1 and give it a shot.
Trine 1 was amazing I actually played it as a download on the PS3. I agree completely, this is just like Lost Vikings and feels just as fun but WAY more beautiful. Some of the scenery is completely magic. With the introduction of co-op play I'm definitely going to be giving this a go
