.. and why?

As a Terran player, I have -

*Blistering Sands
*Jungle Basin
*Shakuras Plateau

crossed off of my map pool.

Why?

Blistering Sands - double entrance is a total pain against competent Zerg.. it's not so bad against P since I play bio, but with mech or bio-mech against Zerg, it's almost impossible to safely defend your expo and your other ramp..

Jungle Basin - Annoying as hell, I die to alot of early pressure on this map.. double ramp is also a pain. Easy 3rd for a T, but usually I never make it there.

Shakuras Plateau - Most Z favored map imo at the moment, especially when you're playing against bottom left vs top right positions.. so hard. Bottom left vs bottom right can be alright, timing push through the rocks, but this map is a total pain.

Lost Temple - Tank drops make me a sad panda.
Steppes of War - Haven't been able to deal with 4Gate with such a short rush distance.

As a Protoss I only really have one crossed off:

Scrap Station (Just because I get sick of just beating down 1 base Banshee/Void Rays over and over again on the ladder - though I uncheck it reasonably often to practice on it)

I had Delta Quadrant checked off until recently, for no good reason other than the fact I wasn't playing a lot when it and Xel Naga got released so didnt really want to have learn 2 maps at that time.

I had DO checked off too until they took it out of the ladder pool.

i'd thumbs down blistering instantly if it wasnt for fear of having to play it for tournaments. It's just a ******* horribly designed map.

Would you recommend not thumbing down any maps if you plan on playing tournaments? I like thinking ahead.

I don't thumbs down any maps and just play the games out as they are. I'd have to admit some maps will be harder for certain races once your opponents know the exploits but then again you can always treat it as a learning experience.

I don't thumb down any of my maps because I think like that.
If it's going to be on a tournament might as well practice on it :P

as a Zerg player I have
1. Protoss Basin
2. Steppes of Terran
3. Anti-Zerg Quadrant

these maps are by far the worst for Zerg I have found in my ladder experience.

Protoss.

Blistering Sands - Every Terran just 3/4 rax rushes.
Delta Quadrant - Kinda close bases, don't like playing vT there.
Steppes of War - See Blistering Sands.

i never uncheck any maps its better to be familiar with all maps if you intend to play tournament games. makes good practice to have good building placement

Just Steppes of War as zerg. It was the cause of endless frustration haha.

I've been considering Delta Quadrant, but I think I'll just suck it up and learn to play it

Steppes as zerg. Also dislike DQ but I've been getting more used to it lately. Might veto it again if i start losing too much on it. Used to have trouble deciding between kulas, desert oasis, steppes and DQ but it's much easier now.

As a protoss player, only Scrap Station. I absolutely HATE that map.
I know I should probably leave it on, cause almost every tourney has that in the map pool, but I just can't stand playing on it =[

Lost Temple - hate getting tank dropped / tank contained
Delta Quad - dont have alot of experience on this map and dont like being korean 4 gated / drop play harrassed
Scrap Station - Hate it vs zerg

Terran here

Blistering Sands - like someone said, having to defend 2 entrances against a good Zerg is so hard

Steppes of war - I fail at defending rush

Jungle basin - natural quite open to sudden attacks n proxy pylon could warp in there anyways
