I'm heading up to Sydney tomorrow from canberra for the day to go to smpte (trade show) at darling harbour.
Now i have been told by coworkers that if I don't leave before 3:30pm I should wait till 6:30 because of the slower than walking traffic jam on the m5 so my question to the community is what is a good Internet cafe near darling harbour to play sc2 at till the traffic dies down?
Any recommendations?
If you can please add price and address and what you think about the cafe.
Thanks,
Djvillian

Prices are I think $2.50 or so p/h, For cityhunter you need to provide a $5 deposit minimum (if you spend less than $5 inside the cafe you will get the difference back), for intime I think it's the same.
There is also 1 downstairs from EVENT cinemas (forgot the name).
I wouldn't go to Spaceway (on george street, near scruffy murphys) as last time I was there it wasnt very good, paid $5 deposit to play sc2, sc2 takes 10 minutes to load so I gave up and asked to end my time and the guy didnt want to give my money back so I said fine whatever and never went there again!
At $2.50 an hour how do they make money? D;
I remember the local one here was $8.50 an hour hehe.
The real question is, who goes to a cafe that is $8.50 an hour?
Net cafes in Sydney usually are priced from $2.50 to $4.50 depending on how good the computers are (terrible, bad, and barely playable). Then they make the money off the refreshments they provide. There are a lot of cafes in Sydney, so they can't really push the prices any higher or they'll just have people going elsewhere.

Guess I didn't really think about the drinks/food etc.
Competition drives the prices down. There are 16 internet cafes in Sydney CBD. Who is going to dare charge more than $2.50/Hour. But yeah all the sub-urban areas with only one net cafes charges are pretty extreme ($5.50/H at Campbeltown, $6.50/H at Suffolk Park)
I went to space way and asked for an hour. The dude behind the counter said 'Not working' despite the fact I could see the monitor of some dude playing dota.
Don't know whats going on there.
Perhaps I discovered the first and only racist net cafe.

16?
I only know of 15, which one have I missed?
But yes City Hunter Chinatown and Haymarket are the best and I say that with no bias
