I was just wondering how people pronounce the word Zealot in Sc2. The dictionary definition of Zealot is A fanatically committed person (My life for Aiur)
And I was just curious, I like to say it Zee-a-lot
I'm with Del, this doesn't really strike me as thread worthy. Probably would have been better as a blog?
The correct pronounciation is Zel-ot. A little piece of me dies inside everytime I hear someone say zee-lot.

Well I used to pronounce it as Zee-lot when I was age 8 when SC1 first came out, well I was young so I dunno what the heck is the proper pronunciation. But eventually when I go to church every Sunday the reader reading the readings during mass pronounced it as both either Zel-let or Zee-lot. So ya, I prefer going American: Zel-let.

"Chronoboosting, already getting a gateway because his unit of choice is the Zell-ot, or more commonly known by idiots on forums as the Zee-lot.
*takes glasses off and looks impatient*
It's a Zealot ok. So often in life people call it a Zee-lot. It's not a Zee-lot. If you ever played the original Command and Conquer it's a Grenadier. Not a Grenader. OK. I dunno if any of you played the original Command and Conquer, it's the Grena-freakin-dier.
Freakin' zee-lots driving me crazy"
Day9 transcribed above. And yea, first thing I thought when I saw the stupid thread title. It's Zell-ot. You don't know how stupid you sound saying Zee-lot (as do people who spell Turret as turrent. How does that n get in there?)

Haha, just because everyone pronounces it one way doesn't mean that it is correct. Most people pronounce blessed bless-ed, at least when reading it aloud. And there is a suburb near where I live called Greenwith. Most people pronounce it Green-with, even though it's supposed to be pronounced Gren-ith.
That being said, zealot is pronounced zel-ot, or zel-uht, depending on how pedantic you are.

Well, agreed. It ain't wrong either way, but I guess this is how the SC2 Community Pronounced it now.

Technically Zee-lot is wrong.
