With the New Year upon us, 2015 brings in a few changes to the Ecko Esports Organisation. We have some exciting times ahead of us, while we also will be saying good bye to some of our favourites.
Leo “ChoboSniper” Lai has been a part of Ecko Esports for a year now, and we have had the most amazing time with him on board. But times have changed, and Leo has gotten a job which sees him travelling to Hong Kong for work. While his time spent in Hong Kong is currently unknown, his work load and ability to play StarCraft 2 will be severely hampered. Therefore we have both mutually decided the best decision is to temporarily say our goodbyes, and hope that one day we have the chance to work together once more. From all the boys from Ecko Esports, we wish you all the best in Hong Kong!
Another departure from the team is long-standing Terran player Kevin “Kreamy” Luangkhoth. After being on Ecko Esports since its birth, as well as a brief time on Frenetic Array, Kevin has decided to hang up the mouse and keyboard, stating a lack of motivation to play the game, as well as finding a part-time job as the main reasons. We will always fondly remember our time together, and hope to continue to see you stream StarCraft 2 from time to time.
In happier news, I am excited to announce that Alan “Apoc” Yan has been promoted from Photographer to Academy Manager. Alan has been working with Ecko Esports for quite some time now, and we believe he has the right attitude and work rate to take on such a responsibility. Hopefully with his inclusion, we will see more of the Academy players in action with Clan Wars and In-house events.
That is all from us at Ecko Esports, we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has amazing New Year celebrations. We part with you tonight with something to be hyped about. Enjoy!
