Just curious who can play on Europe, and how laggy it is for those who can?
I assume most won't be able to, but interested to find out the numbers.

Varun can because he's in India. I can too (don't know if I speak for Singaporeans), with similar latencies to NA (just slightly higher, maybe 30-50ms more?). Nem says it lags during peak hours in EU for her.

I like playing on EU sometimes, especially when I get the urge to play Starcraft really early in the morning. I don't get too bad ms, but my skill isn't really good enough to notice how it has an effect on my play. I do sometimes notice lag-spikes, but nothing to bad.

I know a few contacts that I can talk to Eddie, if you want some help organizing this. I would love to see a lot more cross over between SEA - NA - EU. Maybe Clanwars or alike.

I cant play Korea let alone europe they both lag to hard for me so it kinda sucks :/ 400 ping. and korea just spikes to 400 so often its hard to micro.

KR and EU are the best server's for me to play on

270ms to NA

160 to KR

124ms to SEA

Funny ping times, considering SEA can feel more laggy than EU at times..

EU CAN lag pretty bad at times, but generally thats really early morning AUS time..Which would be mid arvo EU?!

I can play EU, SOMETIMES I'll have a 1 sec delay, but that's like 1/25 times I've played there.

Mine is basically the same as this, especially what you said about SEA feeling more laggy then EU at times

Sometimes laggy.. Sometimes not... It's not really stable for me..

I can barely play to NA, eu is like 400+ ping

SEA: around 220ms
NA: around 205ms
KR: around 330ms
EU around 370ms

I used to play in EU only from Singapore (until end of WoL, before it was possible to connect to any region as I bought the game in EU).

Ping is around 350ms but fairly stable. It is playable but the delay is sensible and not very micro friendly (I had to anticipate force fields for instance..) but fine for my level (used to be high plat).
My experience of play in SEA is way better in term of game feel, but I'm in Singapore.

In my experience it is difficult to interact with Europe from SEA because of time zones. People are starting to connect to the game end of the day, time to sleep for us.

EU have many options from the SC2 community like ESL, many small tournaments (wannawar.com), clan leagues (pandaria-wars.com), etc and I know only the French part...

On a good day or timing usually early morning for me to mid morning, it is relatively smooth and comparable to NA for me. During eu peak hours, the lag, delay, spikes r common. Team games even 2v2 is where all that is v noticeable... including random drops, dcs.

Thanks guys.

I'm considering hosting one of the Global editions of the Masters Cup on EU. Good opportunity to get their region involved in OSC + aware of SEA players.
