Looking for a decent 10m raiding guild (or group) ! I can post my application at your guild website or something if there's an opening. Leet BE Holy Paladin!
Actually, I'll just quote my application from one of the guilds I applied to, for your reference:
Quote:
Reason for leaving current/previous Guild
Currently in a friend's guild, Incendio, only in it because of him. They are a casual raiding guild and don't suit my raiding desires
Back in WOTLK, I was in Noctis Erus, one of the 2 top Horde guilds on Barthilas. (It was always between us and Cross)
Raiding experience
Raided since Ulduar, and cleared all heroic modes up to LK until I stopped playing in WoTLK. Just came back recently and have attempted the T11 normal raids.
Your goals in Raiding
Progression, and fun. I love raiding. It's hard to explain it, but I just love the whole raiding experience. Keeping everyone alive, and the satisfaction of downing a boss after hours of wipes. Just gives me the chills.
And healing in Cata is even more exciting than in WOTLK, the whole mechanics have changed and it's more about smart healing than reaction time healing. Mana conservation has become key and I'm enjoying this new focus as it sets apart good healers from bad ones
What you have to offer the Guild
A committed and intelligent raider who learns fast and can perform. I won't dare to say I'm a good DPS or a good tank, but I'd say I'm a decent healer Words mean nothing, so I guess I'll have to show it through trials, etc. If healing output is your thing, I've outhealed many healers who had 6-8 ilevels higher than me.
What you expect from the Guild
Raid buddies of course People who I can log on weekly and spend a few hours raiding together with.
Days and times typically available or not available(please include time zone)
I'm from Singapore, so it's +8 GMT here, 2 hours behind ST. I'm free anytime, just gotta let me know in advance if it's something apart from the dictated raid timings.
Summary of your background and interests
I've loved gaming since I was a kid. Aside from WoW, I also play Starcraft 2 (Masters Zerg 1v1) under the nick crAzerk on the SEA server.
More
I stopped playing WoW in WoTLK because I was starting undergrad studies and wasn't sure if I would be able to cope. One year in, I've got a good feel of the workload and know that I'll definitely be able to cope with both WoW and studies Also, I've heard alot about the new healing scene in Cataclysm and its shift in focus, so I wanted to experience what it was like.
Having only recently hit 85, I don't have the best of gear yet but I was asked to just drop an application first when I spoke to one of the officers in-game. I do believe anyway that the gear requirements for healers aren't as tight as DPS/Tanks - Tanks obviously need good gear to avoid dying too quickly, DPS is gear dependent once you've mastered your rotations.
But healers? Healing is still dependent on spell choice (efficiency), reaction time and raid awareness, all of which not dependent on gear. Better gear just aids better healing throughput and better mana endurance (can last longer without OOM), which can be adapted easily, especially as a BE Pally with so many mana regen avenues. Thus I'm applying in advance, before I hit the stated gear reqs.
Also, I'm holding out for better gear before I invest in full enchants - wow they are certainly priced quite heftily on this server, wasn't so bad in Barthilas
If you have any questions regarding my app, I'll be glad and ready to answer Good day!
P.S. Before you go ZOMG MAIL BRACER NOOB GTFO, calm down calm down, I'm working on replacing that. Even if I wore my prot/ret plate piece, it gives me slightly more Intellect but no healing stat bonuses, thus I'm still wearing the mail piece. Yup yup.
