I came from a town 160km away from Tamworth, you have no opportunity for a career there, if you're moving purely for gaming you better be sitting on 10k MINIMUM if you're not planning on working / earning bare minimum to survive.

As I also mentioned, you dont get any XP from going to LANs anymore, travel to anywhere city is expensive, and you're not going to be sustainable money wise.

We just dont have the capability for an effective teamhouse in Aus, partly because progaming isnt exactly a 'thing' unless your name is Andrew Pender.

EDIT: also a teamhouse needs a pretty strict schedule to succeed, how do you plan on organising this with work / coaching / social stuff?

I believe we can get 3 months in Korea without a visa, and in my experience Korea was really cheap (not sure about rent costs though). I guess you have to factor in flights.

The more I think about this, the more i feel you would absolutely need to do this in a capital city.

Pro's
- Close to potential events
- Living at a major travel hub (if you plan to attend interstate events)
- Multitude of employment options
- Top education facilities
- Generally close to 'stuff' and things to do
- Desirable location

Basically, you have better options, opportunities, an easier exit plan, a favourable location, and are more likely to get interest drummed up.

The smaller cities have the possibility of being a lot cheaper, but you really are sacrificing a lot. You're moving to a potentially remote location that put a lot of limits not only on your attendance in gaming events, but everything else outside of gaming too. There is going to be less employment & educational opportunities - if you live in a remote area you'll know these are two big reasons why young people LEAVE the area. Not only that, that just is NOTHING to do in smaller towns - it's the number 1 complaint where I live on a day to day basis.
