Random musing: Taylor Swift now looks like Avril Lavigne. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just a thing.

Here's some stuff!

1. WiiU

And we're back.

I picked up a WiiU as a Christmas present for myself and have been playing it pretty much ever since. Call me a Nintendo fanboy (And in doing so you'd be correct), but this thing is seriously sweet. New Super Mario Bros U is the best 2D Mario game since the SNES days. I've always been pretty eh towards the New Super Mario franchise, but this one seriously kicks ass. Hidden levels, baby yoshis, actually challenging. And it's in HD. Pick it up. Assasins Creed is well Assasins Creed. You know what you're getting with this one.

But the thing that really got me sucked in is the Miiverse. First impressions weren't good. Sounds lame. Most social stuff implemented into consoles is pretty useless in all fairness. But when you combine a touch screen and actual interaction within games (and not just shitty achievements), you get some truly wondrous things.

It's hard to really do the concept justice without actually trying it out yourself. Miiverse is awesome. Expect it to be copied.

My NNID is takkuri if you wanna play sometime. I only have Mario and AC3 atm, getting Scriblenauts, Darksiders, ZombiU and maybe Tekken soon. I'll definitely be picking up Pikmin, Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest when they come out. And Bayonetta. Note to self: Buy looser pants before Bayonetta 2 is released.

Awesome: Miiverse, Mario in glorious HD
Not so awesome: The ridiculous loading times for the OS. Apparently this is being fixed in a patch. + Lack of quality titles on Aus eShop.

2. Nerd Cuisine

Cute's Pita Thingy
Contains enough sustenance for one two hour ladder session

Ingredients:
Pita Bread
Cheese
Tomato
Avocado

Method: Take the pita bread then put the rest of the crap on top of it. Grill for one cigarette.

3. The Return Of Community

February 7 is October 19th

Being a Community fan is hard. Constant mid season delays, stars quitting, showrunners being fired. Yeah, it's pretty rough sometimes. But it's still going. The fourth season kicks off this February, much to the delight of the small, yet dedicated, fanbase. Even without wacky genius Dan Harmon leading the show anymore, there's still hope for the series to live up to past expectations. The wacky third season was the best, I don't care what none of y'all say.

Will we get the fabled six seasons and a movie? No, probably not. Let's enjoy what we've got left.
