To be fair there are plenty of zergs on that list.

Have a hard time agreeing with that when I remember that Tgun managed to pull himself up from the ranks of masters and is continuing to slog away as hard as he can.

Kind of easy to get down, especially after a big international tournament, and lose heart. You guys would have laughed if you spent the better part of a decade watching Aussies get fisted at Counter-Strike (Andy will remember the torment, since he was there playing WC3 at the time).

SEA's not as good but defeatist attitudes don't make you better, either. Having the mentality that the rest of the world will see your talent if you only got the opportunity isn't a bad way to approach it. Positivity > negativity. Plus most of you are intelligent enough to not get caught up in the delusion that you don't need to improve, so it's a win-win way to look at it (maintains the passion but doesn't project a lack of confidence).

And yeah, you guys might write me off because I'm not winning tournaments or whatever, but I've been around for a hell of a lot longer, so I know what I'm talking about on this one.

2 more expansions coming so don't quit~

I'm not sure whether this is said seriously or in jest. But reading this makes me unhappy.

Where's the fighting/competitive spirit? Forgetting the bonding bits of the game? The community? Or basically the game itself? It's like saying there are 10 schools, u put the top 5% of each school together to form a new group and u find suddenly your A is not good enuf and u want to quit.

There is a lot more at the tip of my tongue but I'm not going to say more at this moment.

This is weird, you agreed with me but then went on to say something completely opposite to what I was trying to say in my blog.

I'm not saying were all crap and we should quit. I'm saying were alright, but that's not good enough. Even guys like Rain needs to feel that he is "bad" and not be complacent, because at any moment he could just drop to 8th at MLG despite being the hottest player a week ago. Never feel complacent, the StarCraft II competitive scene is too unforgiving, if you don't work hard your gonna get left behind.

I noticed how sensitive some of us (including myself). It is so devastating to be called "bad" - Just shows how high up our own asses we are.

This blog is horrible.
what the others said - why have defeatist attitude?
Why not get to their level
why not work out what they do in their practice that makes them so much more efficitent and successful than Australians.

beat all the world at the game

but.... but but but starcraft is fun

sure everyone is bad at this game and has room for improvement but that doesn't mean they should quit.
People aiming to get better have to acknowledge that they are bad and then work towards improving themselves.
People just playing casually should just be having fun not quitting the game because they aren't the best.

If you're having fun then you're already winning.
There's no need to quit unless you are getting no enjoyment from starcraft and being a part of this great community.
