This is part 2 of my blogging series detailing my successes and failures with The Core and The Levels. Pretty much had some success with it this week and has been quite an interesting ride. If you want the TLDR then read below
Hotkey changes:
- Removed ALT as a hotkey, was too akward a position to use.
- Camera hotkeys moved to SHIFT + F5-8 and then F5-8 to recall.
- Cancel moved to spacebar, which I have found a lot easier to hit than F7 when cancelling.
Considerations:
- Pinky finger is getting quite fatigued very quickly and is also inaccurate, just means more pinky exercises :P
- A bit weird having units production hotkey on ; but again its a I should get used to it thing :P
With the levels its been quite good and has allowed me to focus on macro and have a feeling of achievement. Currently LvL 3 for Protoss and Terran, will start getting up higher this week. Remember I am also aiming for a SQ of 100 and over.
Thats all for this week guys!

PS: I realise my room is messy but I didnt have time to rectify that yesterday :P
Will watch these mate, I've been on TheCore since about July and love it. All my cc's, ebays/armory/ghost acad on 1 mouse button, all army production on 2 mouse button. Rest of mouse buttons rotate / zoom screen for observer spotting etc. I love the cycling through for production. Camera's are all layered on JIOP + 9, 0 8 and N, bases set at start of game and accessed with shift. I've also swapped Ctrl and Shift function around, so Ctrl is add to group as well as select all of same type, Ctrl-Shift is create group, but only really need Ctrl unless want to removed units from a group (with shift deselect then Ctrl-Shift create again)
hmm so is levels designed to help mechanics... will it work without changing to the core? i mean its all about setting goals? i will be honest i haven't read the TL bit...
