I don't agree with his argument though, for every 1 'nerdy kid with an obsession' who turns out to be a 'sophisticated 30 year old', there is going to be another (or more) with negative consequences. Then again, could be media bias on reporting, blabla.

That's true, there's no real statistical evidence.

But I think the majority of us grew up with grownups feeding us that video games are bad, a waste of time, nothing good for our future. It just feels nice that a prominent public figure tells us otherwise ^^~

That's the problem though. There is this stigma that everyone who plays video games is wasting their time and they are going to become failures in life when it is simply not true.

Yeah I saw this on idra's twitter along time ago and I love it.
like he said most of the same adults that tell as video games are a bad and a waste of time,
probably did drugs or listen'd to shitty music or where addicted to reading comic books it doesn't
really matter I don't have like a hate for my parents I mean there not really like that but the point is alot
of parents forget what they where like when they where kids.

I mean hey the addicted video game sterotype fits well for alot of koreans but **** if they make it
look how much money they can make. are you going to tell all the ones trying that its a waste of time?
to atleast try to make there dream's a reality??? even if it doesn't work out???
