I recently bought a lesson from Petraeus to encourage him to earn his dosh rather then beg for it.
As I was drinking my daily cup of tea before work today, I thought about this for approximately two minutes and have decided that I don't really want a 15 year old pretty boy to order me around and tell me what to do.So I'm going to give this lesson away.
First person who replies to this blog, that shows genuine interest in the lesson can have it from me.
Although it's friendly banter, to me it didn't seem like that. My comments have little to do with defending Petraeus but more to see what kind of a person you are online. I know I am repeating myself but all I know of you is this blog, your comment on Pet's blog and the general chat when he was looking for donations.
I wasn't telling you your agenda, I was trying to understand what it was and all I got out of it was being called an Idiot. Being a GM player you are a representative of both the Starcraft 2 Sea server and sc2sea.com, and in my opinion apart from the Race Wars I haven't seen many positives. I hope to see more now that this has been somewhat cleared up.
It's hard to keep your nose out of other peoples business when you post it in an open forum..
Edit: That's all I'm going to say about this anymore
You don't know me in person, my relationships with people, or me online. So for you to call me out and criticize the way I want to give away something that is my own, in my own blog, I feel like your going way above your head.
Unlike some others Pro-Gamers(Or GMs as you say) in the community that work towards making and sustainable a good impression and good relationship with the community (Pig comes to mind), I am very different. My clan is TA - I don't hold back on what I want to say and could care less from how I am perceived by the community, especially from someone like yourself. I don't contribute to the community positively or represent the community with dignity you say? I don't care. I'm not a role model, I am my own individual. The only behaviour code I have to adhere by is my own and those my clan/team has set upon me, not to please people with nothing better to do on the internet such as yourself.
ToRPatto felt absolute no hesitance to "express" how he felt about me, so why should I hold back on how I would react?
Saying "I don't mean to do this" but doing it anyway is one of the dumbest ways to try to appear less confrontational but getting your point across anyway. I was responding to it the same way he felt the need to detract my blog into an argument instead of it's intended purpose. So yeah, I might have been a bit straight forward or rude, I am sorry, but it was damn well called for.
Also setting some things straight - Apparently I don't have any contributions to the community except for the SC2SEA 2012 Race Wars. Let me just outline SOME of the things I've done for this community.
- Captained the Protoss Racewar team of 2011.
- Coached well over 30 players..
- Has always, and will continue helping my fellow friends/fellow Protoss in advising/coaching/discussing with them how to play. This includes continously expanding and developing the SEA Protoss network on Skype (where we circle jerk, bitch about mutas and infestors and discuss strategy!)
- Released replay pack that has tremendously helped many people. http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=4485
- One of the original players/people to write a blog series relating to a Pro player's mindset experience in xGKingLight's E-Sport experiences, along with the video. http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/browseca...ntryuserid=688 www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3SjNDNw9PM
- Ran an Ask nGen anything Protoss Edition sticky section on the Battle.net forums especially to help newbies, for over 2 years. http://sea.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/105480696
- PK Starcraft with nGenLight http://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rc...Zx-Llgnl9IJVrg
- Carried the fcuking flag for Protoss for the majority of 2011, never once complained about balance despite the obvious dark age for Protoss back then.
- Represented my clan/team/SEA/race/sponsors as well as I could for the entire duration of my sc2 career.
- Always helped out with input in various political, strategy discussions on the forum.
Some people may consider those positive contributions to the community. But as I said, it really doesn't bother me if people such as yourself don't appreciate or don't notice these. Find something else to do and rethink your position to be criticizing my online persona.
ToRPatto, you came across as an idiot. Light called you such. You stuck your nose in business that had absolutely nothing to do with you while having no knowledge of the players relationship AT ALL then try to defend yourself by saying that Light has done nothing for this community except talk shit to Pet and you only know of him having done X and Y and therefore you don't like him or his online persona. HE BOUGHT A ******* LESSON THEN OFFERED IT TO SOMEONE ELSE FOR FREE. I know right, terrible thing to do for others.
"I don;t know anything else you have done but i saw you do this one thing therefore you are a negative part of this community and i don't like you"
You have no ******* idea and should get a clue before you start insulting one of biggest contributors to this community over the last two years. You said that you don't like the way he acted to Pet, then say that had nothing to do with anything and you just wanted to see what kind of person he was.....**** me get an idea

here's a free lesson for everybody, don't mess with rayray. he'll **** your shit up then get every other protoss to come in here and **** it up even more.
I just returned home and am quite frankly ashamed of how I reacted and responded.
I had a pretty horrible day. I was already pretty stirred up by Patto's posts. I had a blood test in which I had about 4 test tube worth of blood sucked out of me. Absolute dreadful day at work, and upon reading Pezz' post I think I just snapped.
I'm gonna remove my post regarding Pezz because that was complete rude, out of line, personal, and should not have be in the eyes of the public. However, I will not deny the fact that I was stupid and angry enough to say such things, so I'll keep a copy of the transcript in case I get called out for changing my story.
I want to take this chance to say that
ToRPezz is not "Light's Student". Please stop calling him that, people. It annoys both me and him. Pezz only took a 1 hour lesson on me back in the when he was in Platinum League, and I what I taught him was pretty much the old 3 gate expand against Terran, on an outdated map like Xel'Naga Caverns, so literally I had nothing to do with his rise to become the player he is right now. He showed very quick learning abilities during that lesson and since then I always thought of him as a player with great talent. This is why when him and Alpha became formidable players during ACL Melbourne, I was very honoured to say, hey those two were both my students once upon a time, even though their rise had about nothing to do with me. It is merely like KFC shouting "HEY EMINEM used to work here!".
Me and Pezz has had some personal history with each other, dating back to when we played Dota together on Bored Aussie. It is with misfortune that some of this history spilled into the public instead of kept in private where it belong, I'd like try to keep this under wrap as much as possible. But nevertheless know that I have tremendous respect for him as a player.
