After playing tons of team games for more than a year, I finally decided to ladder 1v1s more seriously in 2011 Season 3. The memory of losing my 1st 1v1 game to a reaper haunted me and kept me from even considering that search button for 1s. (Yes, I was that noob) The ladder anxiety probably just escalated from then on.

But after deciding that if Supersaiyan could get to silver and then gold, no way was I going to stay in bronze. And so the journey begun.

At first I didn't get it. How can 1v1s be so hard? However, by then I met a great group of practice partners (Rico aka FaDeUndone, Benelings, Toogood, Supersaiyan, KWis, Flamga, Bittymummy, Ewok and more). After some practice games, we would have hilarious fun playing teams, photon cycles, raynor's and micro tourneys etc. But I have sidetracked.

I had also decided to join the BSG weekly Opens to keep myself laddering regularly. So I joined my first tournament, the BSG #35. I met Gibber my opponent who introduced me to mGG. However, I wasn't thinking of joining a clan then. It is ironic that 4 months later, after reading that mGG was recruiting, that I would be part of this awesome clan.

By then I was and content to just be .
Then unexpectedly, the questions started coming :

"NEM Y u no plat yet"

I still blame Rico.

Each week I get asked by at least 2-3 different people (both privately or in the mGG channel) this same question. (I just got asked by another guy this morning and I only just met him yesterday!)

Hey I'm struggling in gold (losing streaks are no fun).
"Can't I stay gold?"
"No!!"
"But I dun feel plat"

Still the turning point might had been the FSCT Finals (I still dun know how I did it) and the BSG opens #61 (winning the games vs DuckvilleLOL were the most memorable for me). So maybe I can make it...
