Anyone watched this show? I saw it rated as 7.7 on imdb which is incredibly high for a movie in the "horror" genre and so although i normally dislike such shows in that genre I decided to gave it a go... and ended up pleasantly surprised!

Some who watch it might think of it as nothing more than a generic horror show and movies of that nature normally require incredible suspension of disbelief / logic to watch i.e always falling down at the worse moment and being incapable of getting up or running into a room with no exit so they can be caught by a super slow walking mob. Cabin in the woods is not that type of movie. Apart from it being thoroughly entertaining - I enjoyed the twist and dialogue and also found it a clever satire that served us a giant metaphor of what the horror film industry has evolved to in this present day. The painting which was removed at the start of the show illustrates this point quite well with the guy being the audience and the girl in the mirror being the show. I absolutely loved the climax too when things went out of this world crazy.

Its also written by Joss Whedon (the reason avengers was good) who is soon becoming my favourite screenwriters. Check it out if you haven't already! Oh yea and it stars Thor too.
