On the SEA server I am a
I decided to do my NA placement
I won my first 3 of 4
It was game 5 which was interesting
Game 5 vs
(After game I found out he was High )
I tried and failed a blink stalker build while he hatched first into roach/ling
I switched to HT/w storm and he went Broodlord
He had four bases and I had just lost my third when I moved out
During this major engagement, which I lost
He had lings in my base which I tried to deal with with some Zealots
And failed, he whiped out my economy and army!
His remaining army
My economy
So I say "gg wp"
And he leaves the game
So I get a win
Our remaining armies/units at the end of the game was...
First off, the lower leagues are easier on NA than on SEA. Due to higher player count on NA, there are more exceptional players and also more bad players, so its a common occurrence that SEA players place higher on NA (Until around masters level).
Secondly, you might have not played enough games on either server to be put into a league that is correct based upon your current skill level. Although, if you have, refer to point one ;P
But also, you beat someone who basically beat you, so of course that contributes a bit to it.
My post is meant to be about my oppendant's fail not blizzard's match making system
He totally wiped me out, I had 6 probes and two zealots or something
To his 5 broods, 30 roaches and four bases
When I said 'gg wp' he obviously thought that I had a massive army or something
I surprised he didn't even try to move out with his army, although he didn't need to as he had lings in my base who destroyed all my probes while I was waitin for another warp in
I feel the NA and SEA ladders start to even up in skill level around High Plat/Diamond. I actually ladder on NA mostly and I find the Plats/Diamonds on NA are much better then the ones on SEA.
It wasn't long ago where I won against a High Plat on SEA building nothing but naked raxes and marines, literally A moving at 10 minutes.
But for BSG, I would say that players on SEA are generally better then those on NA.
I've a feeling he's portrait farming or something, it makes no sense to leave a game in that situation. Ive done it before too, when I don't want to win but just want to play for fun, I leave immediately when my opponent GGs. Silly, I know.
