Today was a great day on ladder, Not only did i smash some noobs and take their ladder points, i made a zergs day by not making the two most popular units in that matchup. The Sentry and the Immortal. And going up to 3 Bases.
This week. I got into NA Master League
Some banter goes on before the game...
Heres the Chat Log Note he says "2 Base All in and Sentry Immortals." Don't worry! I won't
Back to the game Oh crap! He is taking a 3rd!
I'll be a derp and maybe drop his main then?
Oh 2 Stargates? Cool... NOPE MOTHERSHIP CLOAK :P
MAYBE I CAN KILL THIS NEXUS?
NOPE.
Im in ur bases killin ur bases
Maybe i can attack and kill his 3rd?
OH GOD NO RECALL OH SHI
Didn't even make either of those units
It is too bad
ROFL hydras don't seem to counter anything all that well it seems.
Fixed.
Something every Zerg player finds out for themselves is that hydras are completely worthless.
They see a Protoss going mass voids or something and they think "Can this be it? Can the hydralisk finally prove its worth in the Zerg arsenal?" and then they think that because the hydralisk is supposed to be the Zerg's ground answer to air units, the time has finally come to create these fabled beasts.
"YES! THE HYDRALISK HAS BEEN NEGLECTED, BUT NO LONGER!"
They giggle in glee as their creep is spread across the map, 3/3 upgrades, the range upgrade. The void rays are in sight. The slaughter begins now.
But then his air army of whatever slaughters all the hydralisks and it isn't even close. The Zerg player then cries himself to sleep, wondering why he thought hydralisks would actually be useful.
This is an experience every single Zerg player has gone through.

From my experience, Hydras should NOT be made against this build. Infact Don't make any units, Might as well go up to 200/200 in drones and just lose while practising your macro.
