Most of my ukulele learning adventures comprises of weeding out songs I like with tutorials on youtube and hunting for tabs and chords and just plainly rip-off/copy how people do it cuz im badass like that.
However, tutorials are usually exclusively made for trashy/catchy songs so I have been trying to master the art of playing songs just by listening and using tabs, and today marks the day of one of my greatest achievements (before no woman no cry) - sabai sabai~
Which basically means I'm Cool/Chill/Comfortable in Thai, which is most Thai's attitude in life(not all) which us Singaporean's can learn from - that there is more to life than working your @ss off every f*cking day.
Therefore, if by some random occurrence you have been dying to learn this song but lazyness is holding you back from figuring it out yourself - I HAVE DONE IT!!! Not sure if our aussies have even heard this ching chong song before, IMO the most popular and well-known Thai love song, but i digress.
thuk jai ko khop kan pai
If we like each other then we'll go together.
praok chan pen khon mai son arai
Because I'm the kind of person who isn't interested in anything
mai khei khid kuan jai khrai
I never think of bothering anybody
sabai sabai
(I'm cool; I'm "comfortable" with this arrangement)
hak rau ja khop kan pai
If we go on together
chan kho phiang kwam rak le jingjai
I'll only ask for love and sincerity.
mai khei tong karn arai
I won't ever want anything
sabai sabai
It's OK
leaw ther ko khong khaw jai
And you'll probably understand,
rau nan ja yu rian ru kan pai
We'll live and learn together.
cak thuk cak suk phiang nai
However much pain and pleasure there is
sabai sabai
it'll be OK
No idea if these chords can be used for guitar too - someone try it out!
My chinese is pretty hopeless, so you can only imagine what this sounds like ^o^
wow playing by ear on the ukulele so fast!! i bought chloe one cause she thought it would be cool. once we reached home she tried for 5 mins, gave up then never touched it again and it became an artifact in my house.
