So, yeah. I think I've put off getting a promotion from to far too long. So, to kick myself into gear, I'm going to try to keep a blog on my journey there

First, a little introduction to those who have no clue who or what ThePandarine is :P I am a 18 year old A Level student who enjoys Starcraft II just as much as everyone on this site. I started with little RTS experience bar Command and Conquer where I play versus the computer on easy. Other than that, I;m your typical Malaysian boy who feels like he doesn't fit in anywhere. :3

So, back to the Starcraft eh? :P I'm kicking of my blog with 6 games I played (1 placement on Wednesday, 5 games today).

Replay Pack: Panda's Road to Gold 1

Game 1 - ThePandarine vs Minant

vs . Yum. To quote Oxygen, "Who doesn't love to squash bugs?" The "gg" at the start made me a little bit suspicious and decide to scout early. What do I see? A 6/7 pool (-_- #) Well, what do you do? Wall up, get a bunker then pray your marine comes out soon. Held it off and what do I do?
Go win (albeit a little bit too slow and almost losing)

Game 2 - ThePandarine vs capmaid

vs . Everyone loves a mirror matchup (# -_-) Decide to do a 3 Reaper Expand, a build I have no clue what the timings are so I end up being on 1 base so quite a while. I see that my fellow T is going for a Hellion drop. Do economic damage only to find my side is pretty darn hurt too Well, my army bigger that his...wait...what army? I decide to go kill him and rebuild my economy. And what does the bugger do? Float away. Spend most of the game getting to him just trying to kill him only to find an almost operational base in the 6 o'clock position. Still, I win.

Game 3 - ThePandarine vs CharlyMurphy

vs . Not gonna talk about it cause I did something I was not so sure of and failed to scout the Collosi. Lose, first "gg" of Season 6.

Game 4 - ThePandarine vs deFEnce

vs (rolls ). He tries to 1 Rax+proxy 2Rax me but I somehow keep the Xel Nagas and know cheese is coming in. I bunker up but failed to realise that part of my wall is not covered by the bunker and needed to do some crisis management. After dealing with the cheese, it was just A-move with the force of Marines and Tanks and win.

Game 5 - ThePandarine vs nKeth

vs . Not gonna talk about it cause I did something I was so sure of yet didn't come out on top. I again failed to scout the Collosi AND make enough buildings. Lose, second "gg" of Season 6.

Game 6 - ThePandarine vs Slaanesh

vs . Mmmmm. More bug stomping. Tried to go for a Reactor Hellion expand till I saw many Roaches. What do I do in response? Knowing Mutalisk won't be a problem for awhile, I get a few more Tanks and go stomp the poor Z. Take out his natural expansion and his 3rd is pretty much cut off. Go for the killing blow and he "gg"s.

Summary? 4 - 2 in Season 6 for the first 3 days of me being aware of the new season. Not too bad but I really need to work on my macro, especially "having enough buildings". That part of my macro is horrendous. Only time will tell if I ever get that fixed. Any feedback or tips or even plain abuse from the non-chobos is good I'll see you guys around.
