Gold, not to be confused with silver is actually the 3rd from the bottom league. I'd like to say i'm in the league. I repeat, i'm in gold league. I'm in SEA's, NA's and KR's mediocre league: Gold. Some of the perks that come with the league is availability of both the BSG and the GPD tournaments. I've entered a few from memory two GPDs and one BSG. In one of the GPD's I won my first game against a Diamond Terran (ftw) only to be knocked out in round two by Platinum Protoss Aequitas showcasing that my 111 all in is just plain bad. These were a while ago mind you. Something recent was the latest BSG tournament. It was my first BSG and I was going to take the whole thing. I'd like to thank Chadmann for convincing me to sign up and unleash one of my finest moments.

Being a competion junkie and a keen detective by nature I inspect the brackets to reveal my opponent and first punching bag. I had studied his league and match history. This guys bronze ezpz. So I enter the game on GSL Crevasse, a map i'm not so familiar with. The game begins and immediately I take to the chat.
Just making sure.
''kk i'm in gold'' I said bluntly as if to sympathize but not actually. Then I expand after one barracks and proceed to pause the game twice. I then realize I've expanded to the harder to defend third with two possible entrances. So I place bunkers to be safe.
Note how my army is on the retreat after a brief bout with our bronze protoss friend. Also note the existing bunkers and their potential for defending absolutely nothing. Yeah, so what I placed them at the destructible rock entrance. Needless to say Saranghae beat me. Well done man.
Now, having that loss in the first round was absolutely fantastic for laughs and conspiracy theories. We actually thought he was smurfing (lol). But I can say I didn't lose to a ******* silver on Korean Ladder.
Gold forever!!! I am gold SEA and KR, us mediocre players have to stick together!
Stick with the BSG, lots of weird stuff happens- and when you have a good run, it feels amazing. Playing in tournaments (even if they are tournaments that other people laugh at) is a good way to keep you focused and practicing. Keep making first person tourney reports, especially when it is you making dumb mistakes. There are so mayn pros out there posting ridiculously good replays and games, no wonder it seems like the whole of Reddit suffers from "ladder anxiety". I really hate that term - how can you associate something serious such as an anxiety disorder with playing a video game? BUt this is no longer on track.
keep it up!
