Hi guys, I've been trying this build lately, and having huge success vs Players, Looking to refine this build to the next level. (if i don't lose to something stupid.
It still has some flaws, and i'll post replays later, with replay analysis later.)
Protoss v Zerg
Goal:
Kill the Zergs 3rd with a super early WG from a FFE, Deny it again (or a 4th) while dropping in the main and the 3rd/nat at the same time with DTs and immortals, killing off important structures (spire/evo/pool etc.)
Build Strengths:
Keeps Zerg in his base and moving. Potential to deal a lot of damage due to 3 different types of harass early on. Macro oriented, good to establish economy and get a 3rd with Tech. Ultra Strong vs Roach Play.
Build Weaknesses (from what i have noticed):
Difficulty against early spire. (need to work an obs timing in to scout for this). Maybe infestor play? Depends on late game tech switch, if you go robo bay you should ez with this. *more to come*
Build:
Forge Fast Expand, (i like a forge first build, nexus first is too risky since zergs are catching on to the oh, your not gonna have anything if i early pool).
This consists of something like - Pylon, forge, Nexus, Cannon, Pylon, Gateway (more cannons if needed) *In my opinion it's always good to make more cannons if you're unsure. It might slow you down but it's better than losing the damn game to a roach ling or something zergy and gay.*
Take only 1 gas right after your gateway. The first 100 goes to +1 (Chrono this about 3 times) and the 50 goes to WG (Chrono Constantly like a 4gate build).
Your WG Research and +1 should finish about 8 Min Mark. If you're really solid i know you can get it down to about 7:17. Also build 2 More gateways.
Have A proxy pylon ready to go and go kill off his 3rd, If he doesnt have one, don't waste mins in the zealots and attack up to his spine'd natural. look for a hidden base (rare) and just keep the map control, you can kill pretty much any amount of lings he sends at you. Look for roaches.
If you do kill the 3rd, congrats to you! now warp in some sentries at home and defend a little while you tech up some.
Take 2** more gasses and a robo bay, Twilight Council and 2** more gateways. From the robo bay get 2 immortals to be safe from roach all-ins then an obs to scout what he is doing. If he is going spire (uncommon early game after you lose the 3rd to +1z) and it just started it's okay, if its near completion (rare), make some cannons and stalkers to be safe. Glaive worms + Probes = bad.
Get your DT Shrine (as soon as council finishes) and a warp prism. Load up the immortals, Take a 3rd and a robo bay and move out. Unload the Immortals and warp in some DTs, send 1 or so to each base.
This time you should start getting a lot of stalkers blink, sentries and colossus. Possibly another Forge more gates and if you want add some archons into the mix. and keep those upgrades coming! If he does continue with muta's then you may need storm to deal with it. something i stupidly don't concider because one ball can kill all the cannons in the world!
Then go win with blink stalker colossus sentry ball - Broodlords you'll need the moship.
** Numbers still not yet set in stone. Experiment! (Also not maybe all at the same time, but you should get the TC just before the robo or so... still working this out)
*** I'd love to hear some Zerg imput and hopefully some OH **** PLZ DONT DO THIS TO ME.
NOTES:
Instead of Immortal drops and DTs, maybe get Charge kill the 3rd while you distract to snipe the lair in the main, then you can get DTs and he can't make an overseer..
Or blink stalkers or +2 Archon drops, need to figure which kills workers in 1 hit. The main idea is to kill the hatcheries.
I've been doing something like this, except that the +1 zealots hit with a void ray.
The problem I face most often is dying to ling roach all in, due to the lack of sentries. Even with 2 cannons 8 roaches take them out easily followed by lings as I'll only have at most 1 sentry, (due to only 1 or 2 gas). From your build with 1 gas I guess you would face the same problem. How do you deal with those ling roach all ins?
Btw i'm talking about 18-25 drones all in, not 40, so warp gate / void ray wouldn't be out as well.
18-25 drones all in you neeeeed like 3-4 cannons. IF you scout it you are safe. If not, urm just dead? But 18-25 drones allin often dont come with a natural so if they have no natural its easy to see. If they have natural and still allinning, you should have 30s more to get at least 1 sentry which can buy time for your 3-4 cannons to go up?
The one I'm talking about is with a natural, and in the event that you are unable to scout.

You wont have gas to get sentries out in time cos you're only on 1 gas and researched +1 and wg.
Probably buy time making more walls with gateways/ pylons and hope that your cannons get up on time. You should try to play safer as soon as you see gas. Normally if i see gas i'll get 2 cannons to be safe. I guess you'll just have to change your build if you see gas with the initial probe. Too easy to die to roach ling all in i guess.
then scout the third, ling number/timing/is speed done? all good tells. 2 quick zealots to control the xnc tower between players/check third base (also works as meat shield for ur cannons), if there is enough lings to actually kill 2 zealots, you probably need extra cannons anyway.
Making 3 cannons against a no 3rd base Zerg is usually fine. Since the zerg isn't making a third, his economy isn't really exploding and is PROBABLY doing all in of some sort. So making the 2nd and 3rd cannon is a safe bet. If chances are he was going 2 base Mutas or just expanding slowly, your not actually behind from making the extra cannons because he took his time to take a third.
