Hi, this is the first day of the series, I already did a little ladder warm up yesterday.
Incase you havent read and you want to here is the link:
Day 0 http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=283
I might start making a blog every 2-3 days since i think I will spam alot if i blog every day.
Today I started laddering at Korea.
I played a lot of games , none of them were cool, infact lost the 90% of the times doing builds i havent practiced and getting my score down just to stop caring about it. Because if i care about the score i wont play. I will take ladder as a practice , i will stop taking it as a tournament. Because there is no money in the line. I think this is the first big step to stop ladder anxiety.
Korean ladder.
I tryed playing an agressive style, (I usually play macro heavy except at ZvP where I play agressive).
The builds I practiced were :
2 Base roach push (Against Toss)
7 pool spine crawler (Against zerg)
14 gas , 14 pool (Against zerg)
15 Hatch first (Against terran)
Speedling Expand (Against terran)
Please note if you hatch first against a korean terran he will 100% of the times bunker rush you!
Failed proxy hatch
My famous 2 base roach push. (Its not a cheese , i have 2 bases fully saturated and 2 gases saturated.)
Trying to make my way in the terrans base.
European ladder :
I had a 12 win streak there, but started practising and lost a whole bunch.
What did i learn today:
- If you open 15 hatch have an overlord around to scout bunkers/pylons
- If someone goes mech/Deathball use the freaking broodlords
- If you 7 pool spinecrawler, try to hide the crawler.
- Dont run into banelings , thats really stupid.
- I can stop bunker rushes the 80% of the times.
- Strong pushes against early game fast expanding toss are very good.
- You shall not use mutalisks on the korean server. They micro waaaay better than you and they will kill them all. (Joke)
FAQ:
-Why do you want to get to the grandmaster league?
Because i wanted to be the red power ranger BUT there is no place for me in the team ,so i want to get to the GM league and hopefully have fun and play on lans.
-Why did you choose zerg?
Because bugs are cool.
- What server do you play?
Well i want to get to GMs on Europe, but i will try to get the Korean version just to train and have fun.
- Are you already signed for a lan?
Yes, on june 25 i belive, i dont really need to train that much, there arent any good players around.
ok let me put it this way, I think this whole B2GM thing is a bit gimmicky.
You should really be playing to get better, Grandmasters is given to you when the system thinks you are ready for it.
Don't focus JUST on laddering, micro games and just reading up on strats and info is just as important as laddering, you are practically putting the GM on a pedestal and it's just going to be harder in the long run if you try to improve by mass games on ladder rather than actually being good at the game.
In reality, if you perfectly executed a cheese to grand masters, you would be IN grandmasters, but you wouldn't have the standard of a Grand masters player.
that's my rant, good luck, I am still following this so take it as constructive criticism.
I disagree with this, until you are Plat or even Diamond.
Watching streams and trying to take builds from pros is just dumb when your Bronze, because you won't have the mechanics to pull the builds off.
In BSG just play reminding yourself to keep injects and overlords, and go for the standard army comp and you will find that you will start winning matches without difficulty
can you please tell me WHAT CHEESES? i can only see 7 pool crawler, and 1 in like a million games a proxy hatch and its not like i 7 pool in every zvz.
every time I read this I see a list of cheeses and a crap ton of games played...
I would like to suggest that you play more passively and try to learn the matchups so play macro each game. Take pride in each game, play properly and without a great deal ofemotion.. which i think is what you are doing now.
You will benefit much more by playing 5 macro games on each server a night and watching the replays, rather than playing 15 matches in a row on each server without taking a second look at why you lost.
Yes , I think your right pRoNtoriouS, however I dont have a large BO list, if you guys know any standard macro build orders that you would like to watch or even a list I will practice those.
I will stop 7 pooling, its only one in like 10 zvz, im trying to play with fast speedling expand + banelings for defence.
I will stop proxy hatching, insted i am going to play Speedling expand with probably a little roach push if he FFE.
I will play 15 hatch first against terran, and if he makes 6+ helion i will do an early roach push to clear them off.
This are all the build orders I know now, as I said before I would love to practice a list of standard macro BOs. So if you have one please PM.

Thanks for the support and for helping me out
sorry bro but I am protoss! Can't really tell you any specific builds..
but good on you for having an open mindset.. you will do great
just download replays of progamers and write down the timings.. if you have money to ivest in your play even consider getting coaching from PiG or other great sea zergs. But yea the timings is the most important things.. when u watch a replay take down heaps of notes and then execute it over and over again. GL!
