I was discussing light today with a mate. What is light? Light is particles yes? Does it weigh anything? What happens to the light when the source is cut off? Like, if you shine a torch and then the light particles beam out and then you turn off the torch what happens to the particles? Do they die off? Are they still there?
Like when you have a room with a light on, then you turn it off, what happens to the light??
How does a language start? Because imagine the first language ever, lets just say it was English right, how would someone tell another person what something is like "Hey this is a shovel" because the other person wouldn't know any words and they wouldn't have a mutual language that they could communicate and learn the language like we do these days.
Why if something like a button says "Do not press" we are compelled to press it??
Why do I not ******* study when I only have 2 more test's for my high schooling?
I wonder how much dirty shit happens in governments that the public doesn't see?
Light acts as a particle and a wave. As to whether light weighs anything or not is actually quite interesting. Light is made up of photons, which have no rest mass. You can't just grab a photon and chuck it on scales or anything because it has to move at the speed of light.
Special Relativity says that a body with a rest mass cannot be accelerated to or past the speed of light. So if something travels at the speed of light i.e light photons, it can't have a rest mass.

Light is basically everything you see around that is visible to the normal eye. However light is electromagnetic radiation that is transmitted as photon packets of energy. Light behaves both like a particle and wave however there is no mass on light that is measurable.
When you cut off a source of light then the remaining light emitting from the source gets absorbed by its environment.
Hmmm... I see why my chemistry teacher in high school sucked so badly at explaining how light could be both particles and waves. She kept just repeating it was either like waves on a beach or ants walking in a line.

Badger answered this one pretty succinctly.

This is a really good question. I'm a bit rushed right now, so I won't go into what I believe, but the answer is probably more boring that you want.

Because we are sinful by nature.

See above.
