Hi guys!
I was one of the representitive of SEA/ANZ in SCII blizzcon this year and just want to write up my experience for a share! Not much of a writer but I really wanted to share my experience so here I go! lol

Day-2
Being way too sleepy the day before, I woke up at 2pm lol. Calling Jaczie what she was doing (I didn't have anyone to do anything with lol thank you Jaczie for keeping me company!!. Oh and she also just woke up when I called) we decided to head down to the convention centre to catch the Blizzcon finals. I was suprised to hear that Nestea won the winner's bracket finals. Although he is my FAVOURITE and most respected player by far, with the map pool and the state that MVP is in these days, I thought Nestea wouldn't be able to take a single game off MVP. And even after seeing Nestea in the winners bracket and MVP in the losers in the grand finals, I still believed that MVP was gonna 4-0 (2 best of 3s) Nestea, which was almost true, cause it was 4-1 (2-0, 2-1). The crowd was great, casting was good and the spectators were awesome!! Although I was a little sad that Nestea lost, I still enjoyed the game very much! (WHY MASS BROODLORDS!!WHY!!). And when I got up from the chair to head off to players lounge, ONE person in the specator recognised me and asked me to shake my hand. I couldn't hear a word he said cause the it was really noisy. And there will be a little story about him later in this write up!

As all games finished, I decided to man up! and ask autographs from the players. Sadly, Nestea and MVP never came back to the player's lounge T_T.. I got Select, Dimaga, Glade (yeah!), and Sen's. (Sen made a mistake and now my glorious mouse pad has a little black mark on it....). So sad not being able to get Nestea and MVP's autograph, me, Glade and Jaczie went to see the closing ceremony, which was FULL of people and we couldn't get it even with Jaczie's fake "press" pass. So we decided to head back to hotel early, and wait for the Blizzard party late at night.

1am, we all went to Mike's (CEO of blizzard) room for party and there were lots of people. But the only people that was "visible" in my eyes were NESTEA and MVP!! So happy of seeing them, and bringing my mousepad and camera JUST incase, I manned up once again for auto graphs and pictures! They were really really nice, and so the IM coach (He knew I was a bit shy to talk to the players so he took me to them lol)
Heres the summary of the conversation me and Nestea had! (translated into English. I'll cut some bits out)

Me: I'm a big fan!!
Nestea: Thank you! so you represent SEA/ANZ? How old are you?
Me: 1991 born! (Koreans tend to say the year we are born)
Nestea: wow...so young!! To be honest I thought you were 26~ish lol
Me: (what nestea said would've been offensive if it was anyone else saying the samething lol) Yes I heard that alot !
Nestea: Since I'm older, I'll talk comfortably!(There's 2 ways of speaking in Korean. Polite way to elders or someone you don't really know, or just friendly and comfortable way. For example, Annyung = comfortable. Annyung ha sae yo = polite)
Me: OF COURSE!!. I always enjoy your games so much!
Nestea: Don't just enjoy! Teach me !!
Me: l...o...l....

and we had talk about his progaming life back in KTF (SCI team) days and feeling so happy, as it was really late and I was super sleepy, and achieved one of the biggest goals I had coming to Blizzcon, I decided to go to sleep lol

Day-3

So this day, Blizzcon was over, and Jaczie decided to go shopping and I was allowed to go with her. Jaczie spent $??? amount lol I won't reveal the amount actually. But had awesome time(at least I did !) and as it was almost time for me to get picked up to airport, we went back to the hotel and waited in the lobby.

And heres the story about the guy who shook my hand and recognised me at the Blizzcon finals!

Jaczie was doing facebook and tells me Zanooku was at Blizzcon! I was like, oh, how come he never came and said hi? and suddenly, a lightbulb above my head turned on. It might have been Zanooku who recognised me! and so I asked Jaczie if she could ask Zanooku if it was him that shook my hand and he said yes! and he also said to me that he was Zanooku, which I didn't hear and as it was first time that someone that I don't know recognised me overseas, I was a bit too shy, didn't know how to deal with it and I might have been looked like a dickhead lol So Zanooku, I'm so sorry!! I would've been much more friendly if I knew it was you!!


Blizzcon 2011 was one of my best experience I had in my life. Awesome people, awesome games and therefore awesome experience! I thank EVERYONE who supported me and saying very nice things to me that has not just gave me confidence over SCII, but into my life in general! Special thanks to Jaczie for being THE BEST community manager and Blizzard of course for making such a great game!!

I hope to get to have even more experience, and I will work hard on it to do so!
