Keep in mind all of this unraveled during the tournament in rapid order, from my memory here are the order of events:

1. tournament starts, EnDerr complained of being forced to play in NA server where he has terrible ping.
2. Out of the blue to us, SEA server where we played previously was no longer the server to play on. And that u'd take advantage of a rule since he has bad ping in NA was suggested by the players.
3. We figured ok fine they want to make him play out of SEA how about KR?
4. Apparently that was out of the question also. Wast old "refer to the rule".
5. DemiLove brought to my attention your tweet regarding a game plan, and it was assumed it was to take advantage of EnDerr's ping.
6. I tweeted I just want fair server for BOTH players.
7. Other people tweeted:

NXZ "play to win, take every advantage"
Miley "fairness doesn't matter"

8. Now think about this from our point of view, in a matter of 30 minutes all of this. EnDerr was very upset.
9. Admin offered to split the servers, some SEA, some not. I thought ok good this is at least better than all on NA.
10. I find out EnDerr declined this. I am shocked. Admin agreed he must be very upset.
11. I asked EnDerr why? He said why play in a major tournament with a handicap. Rather play all the games rather than some. I don't follow his logic. I argued well the offer was better than nothing. It was too late the games had started.

12. Not until later that I hear that some of you all were having ping issues in SEA.

Then assholes like Miley tweet with "sick logic bro" "do u even read bro". **** that.

The discussion on twitter then goes to shit. Then Juno jumps in with his "play the victim" and all kinds of crap.

This is WHY nothing good came about, under high pressure, in a big tournament, out of the blue, we see this server change, and all the tweets. What else would we think?

It was never until tweets later revealed that the reason is shitty SEA ping for Seither.

I even said clearly when this first came about "I Just want FAIR ping for both".. "there's no such thing as fair" was a reply.

These short, callous responses, do not help. Miley is an ass. Then Wally calls me a "whiney brat". Are you fcking kidding me. Who the hell are you Wally? Do u know me? Aren't u the guy who whines about balance all the time on twitter I had to unfollow?

Come on... you people know how much we've put into this fkcing region. All I want is good starcraft, and fair games. Yet no benefit of the doubt, no courtesy.

I've gotten too much drama here in SEA.

It would've been one thing if something major like this server change was explained with "Look Seither has crappy ping on SEA, can't play in it, can we pick a fair server to play on?" Then let's list out pings.. then let's play.

Then it's all about comparing pings, and figuring out what's fair for both. I would never in a million years force a player to play in crappy ping, I want good games and real wins.

BUT NOPE. The whole thing degraded. Twitter is bullshit. Twich chat is bullshit. Reddit didn't help. Part of the problem is some of our players who were mad on twitch (of course they'd be if we didn't get full information).

I tried to respond reasonably if you follow the tweets. But nope. Assholes all around jumping in.

In light of what I hear here about bad pings for SEA players IN SEA... well of course it now makes me understand your position better.

Do you think for once we pause and say "hey let's talk this out properly". All I heard during the crucial game start was "Seither is making me play here.. manager says to do so... refer to rule". It's the rule man. Like we are talking to lawyers.

And do you think for once when things are going right, considering all the ping issues EnDerr has been going thru all the years, you'd be a little more sensitive about the whole "no SEA server, u have to play on NA, refer to rule" communication RIGHT AT THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT ????

That's why I was pissed and he was pissed.

Admins said that games are to be played on Aus server. Enderr got offered to have 2 games to be within a ping that is really good for him compared to Seither, and declined it.

So, too bad, suck it up.

it wasn't out of the blue. The admins have ALWAYS stated that it was AUS server. Its just that everyone is too kind and lets Ender have a ping advantage and plays on SEA.

If it's supposed to be NA/Aus then that's what it should default to unless both plays agree to change the server. You can't paint someone as the bad guy for being within their rights to play on NA/Aus.

There's no drama here other than PJSalt.

It wasn't a malicious attempt to make Ender play on bad ping.. It was just me putting my foot down on my own players taking the disadvantage.

Consider this early warning that it will continue to happen as long as the rules state NA/Aus server. Next qualifier, I'm happy to assist ender where possible for him to come to Australia to play on favourable ping.

Yes we always thought we tried to have the best games on what's reasonable. We'd never refer to a rule to take an advantage. That's my point.

It was a change at the last minute for us.

If an arrangement was made between players + admin on some compromise, that's fair and a great display of sportsmanship! And seems like it was offered?

I wouldn't read to much into twitter/twitch comments. People like to make drama out of nothing.

As for future events, you bet your ass we have to look at every letter and rule in the book, coz this one totally caught us off guard, on the biggest match night.
