When I first started playing StarCraft ladder back in Wings of Liberty I set myself a goal. I wanted to get to Platinum league.
Me with my 18 (or lower) APM... a loss streak of 52 games before my first win (true story - my first win triggered a 10 game winning streak. That initial win came right after watching Day9s first Newbie Tuesday. The lesson was so basic "Build Lords, Build Drones"). It seemed like a huge mountain at the time. A million times bigger than Mt. Everest.
And now with a little coaching (being taught and teaching others) combined with some focused hard work on my basic mechanics I have finally achieved my first goal in StarCraft...
So I have finally reach Platinum league. And with my crushing of a couple diamonds along my path to plat I see no reason why I cannot climb higher up the ladder. Diamond by the end of the year I feel is a very strong possibility.
I have a few people to thank:
x5.Doombie - This fine fellow taught me a couple PvZ builds. I was really struggling in the vZ matchup (27%) and those builds combined with highlights of my basic fundamental mistakes against the bug race helped me turn my PvZ win ration back up to a respectable score.
ETL.Namek - En taro Tassadar Protoss brother! I gained some very nice insights from this fine gentleman
AxS.SouL/AkirA/WhateverthehellhehaschangedhisnametonoW - ehehehhe. He helped me back in my silver days. Most of the coaching I received from SouL was a little cheesy but it helped me with my basics.
Formerly (AxS & ETL) Jimbo - My main coach for much of my SC2 'career'. He has since left the game and the main reason I began working my way solidly up the ladder.
AxS and ETL chats - Too many people to thank from these guys! They put up with my QQ and gave me helpful advice, a verbal slap across the face when I needed it (you get the idea.)
So thankyou guys and gals! If I forgot someone please let me know
Kind Regards,
Retarded

Welllllll our first game was actually even. I kinda screwed up my first attack and if I wasnt so stupidly afraid of those phoenixes there was a window of opportunity for me to take out a significant part (if not all) of Enak's army.
