Even when there's no one / very little people watching.
An hour or so ago, Versus and icedTea was watching me stream. It was rather late, so kudos to them for sticking it out and watching me play games alone! But even without them, I realise that if I do stream and "commentate" on what I'm doing, it helps me in my gameplay. I do enjoy explaining what I'm trying to do, even though it's not as refined as (insert a random league player's name here), and it motivates me to strive for excellence when playing.
I used to think that if my stream has no one watching, I shouldn't waste my breath talking or stuff, because no one would hear me anyway. But I guess, I realise that even if there's no one (towards the end of the stream), I still enjoy talking it out just in case someone jumps on the stream and watches it. I guess that's how you keep viewers. You don't wait for viewers to appear before trying to make them stay. You offer something for the viewers to stay so that when one comes, he has the incentive to do so.
Maybe I'm just crazy, enjoying talking to myself. Maybe I'm just tired, and will regret making this post tomorrow. But all I know is, from now, I'll be streaming as much as I can and will provide good moments like these:
No, this is not a long post just to advertise my stream. But the above was something really fun when it happened on stream, and live in front of a few people. I got naturally high and did what I did at the end of the stream. So I'd just like to share it with you guys. Have fun watching! Will improve on my "commentating" to make it more regular, clear and soothing to the ear.
I like streaming too, I rarely have the internet (VERY RARELY) to actually stream so I haven't done it properly in a very long time, but when I see the view counter tick up a number it makes me focus more knowing that some random person is basically wasting their time watching me play, so I feel like I have to give something back.
I might watch you, if you let me be mod and ban everyone.
