As some may know, I'm currently a diamond level Protoss player and wants to know the secret/s to extending ones knowledge for the game in order to break into GM for any server.
So i ask other Grandmaster players or former Grandmaster players out there what did they do to achieve Grandmaster the first time they did and there journey to get there. Also some advice whether flat out ladder games or just constant prac vs GM and even master players will get me to achieve this goal quicker. Thankyou in advance.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but, generally I would aim for GM on SEA then GM on NA then GM on KR in that order.
So you aren't chopping and changing between servers worrying about your ranking.
Oh, and just an assumption: You should be able to get on a pro team once you're at the NA GM level.
Not really relevant, but just the order with which your laddering should be conducted in.
"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
If you set your goal to GM on sea, just pick 1 build for every matchup and practice practice practice. OR if that is too boring then just playing w/e and if you play enough you'll get there eventually
1. Macro like a god.
2. Awareness (of what your opponent is doing, where their army is, etc)
3. Know what to do in every situation, this is why you review your losses, you lose to a new situation you havent seen before, you learn what you did wrong and what you should have done instead and then the next time you come against the same thing you know exactly what to do.
