For the past week i have been on tilt like never before, losing 70% of my games (estimate) and things were looking bad, as the new season opened up i did my placement and demoted to platinum, which was sadly expected. Me in shock i laddered for like 8 games, lost 6 of them and was worried. So i decided to redo my placement (bad mistake) lost to a silver zerg (which btw he seemed better then some diamond zergs i have played but w/e) and then demoted AGAIN to gold league. That was the last straw, i have decided to give ladder and Starcraft 2 in general a break (like a long break) and no longer play 1v1. You might see me play team games or arcade (maybe) but other then that this ladder hero has just turned zero. I hate to sound like a bad sport but these demotions crushed my hopes for masters harder then a ton of bricks. Alas, i say thankyou SEA for giving me memorable 1v1's and getting to meet awesome friends on 1v1 ladder. Most of all, thanks to the guys of QED for giving me that full push i did to 1v1 diamond for the experience and pain of all the training (in other words fridge saying to stop just going mass voids when i was bronze) was worth it. Who knows, maybe i might find my spark to ladder 1v1 hard again (or at all). For now, I sign this blog off with GLHF!
I'm sure one day, you'll realize it's time to ladder once more, and realize you're actually better than you thought you were, and hopefully hit high plat / diamond once again, and return to the ladder!
I honestly didn't know you very much, but as always, it's sad to see a member of any community leave

This season has seen many demotions to be honest. Dun be too hard on yourself. You are one of those guys who practice one kick a thousand times and hence deadly. I believe it's because of the no demotions in a season rule that bliz had become harsher with their placements and all. Get back that fighting spirit Stodd. Meanwhile playing teams and arcades are never a bad thing

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
ya dude, you really cant be hard on yourself, the ladder is a huge joke atm, i was top plat last season and got demoted to gold this season and after playing like 8 games yesterday i went 2-6... played so so so so bad. so i decided to log off, play another game and work on my music. Ill come back to it very soon maybe when ladder sorts itself out but stick around, play 1v1s with us
Fellas demotions are expected now. Since you cannot be demoted during a season its normal for it to be a little harsh in your placement. Relax, a few games you will be where you belong. I got dropped to plat and with any luck after exams will be back into diamond in no time. That's just the sacrifice that needs to be made in order for blizzards no demotion during season rule. On the other hand you also will need to play better to be promoted since the league ratios must not change.
Keep ya chin up dude. Take your losses like a man and analyse them. Take your wins like a man, analyse them and never forget to remind yourself how bad you are at the game. The moment you start thinking you are good is when you are in code s. Till then u just gotta learn and enjoy the complexity and amazing gameplay sc has to offer.
