So after feeling i came up way short and played very bad in the latest BSG... i was kind of emberassed and want to use it as motivation to do better in the next BSG coming up.

So thurs around 10PM EST so around 12PM (based on hour difference bsg starts 6am for me 8pm start time) i'll be playing majority of the night thursday.. all day friday.. into BSG saturday. I need some scrimmage/practice people to help me out to get me better..

I just did not feel i played to the best of my ability this week after putting in near 40 games this week in training for me...... so ya.... just putting that out there.

MrAc you played well and really showed me a massive weakness i need to improve on... cheers!

Massing games does not necessarily mean you will improve, especially at the rate you seem to want to. The best way is to watch your replays see what you are doing wrong and try to fix it. If you're unsure what you're doing wrong ask someone to watch a replay with you and give you advice. Hope everything goes well and good luck in the next BSG

I disagree i am pretty sure most people know why they lost games like "oh i got supply blocked just before his 4 gate hit" and shit like that massing games improves your mechanics you just need to set a goal like keeping minerals under 500 when you get to a higher level replays are good because you usually lose whilst having under 500 minerals rarely getting supply blocked etc.

Re: Thurs 10PM EST to Saturday 6AM EST need Training

That's a good point but at the lower levels sometimes they won't know why they lost. Yes sometimes it will be as simple as "oh I got supply blocked just before his 4 gate hit" but other times it is something that they may not understand. Now this may just be me not giving the BSG players enough credit but I know when I was in bronze, silver and gold I didn't really have a clue what I was doing I just followed builds and hoped for the best. So to have someone watch a replay with him could be really beneficial in my opinion. Another thing is consistency. I find that massing games over 2-3 days and then barely touching sc for the other 4 days of the week isn't the best way to improve. As with everything consistency helps. So if possible maybe you should look at playing say 5-10 games a day rather then 20-30 one day then none the next? (I may have that wrong about your play time just going off the limited information I have hehe)

Re: Thurs 10PM EST to Saturday 6AM EST need Training

I am in Canada and on Pat leave so my times are skewed a lot.. I had a couple people analyze some of my replays (3 of which are on the forums in the right hand column there). I don't usually get to play a lot at night in my time because of the kid being up and spending time with my wife (because i'm a good dad/husband hehe).

So the wife is gone for the weekend where i can fully concentrate on playing games without outside distractions.

That being said i've saved every single replay from a BSG game i've done and have watched a lot to see where i went wrong... a lot of the time moments after the game i go "Blah... i forgot to make *insert unit here* when he made *insert unit here*..." A lot of the time i feel like im doing a decent build then i see the person have like 10 more units of the same thing more then me and it throws me off.

On top of this i want to play at a constant basis so i can get the build orders drilled into my head before the next BSG tourny happens and then BSG Clan war vs mGG the following day
