My headphones has now officially died. I have been using them for about 4 years now and they are no more.
They lasted quite awhile thanks to duct tape! But now they are beyond repair. I get no sound from the headphones and the mic makes me sound like a robot, which is super cool, just not cool for casting.
Which leads me to the next point, because I don't have any headphones, I wont be able to cast at all until I get new ones, which may be a long time because I don't have a job. Been trying desperatly to get one but because I am 20 and can only work Casual, companies can easily get 15 year old kids to do the same job, only cheaper. -_-'
So I'm in a rut.
So I have 2 options to get money, ask for donations here. (Which I'm not going to do cause I feel so shit for doing) or try and get more people who want coaching.
At the moment I coach for $5 an hour which is super cheap, and I can coach all races.
I am only Diamond rank though, but I feel that I have plenty of game sense and knowledge of the game to be able to coach at any level, and the only reason why I am not in Masters yet is because I make so many mistakes in game, (and I do more casting than laddering :P )
You might ask, well your headphones are dead, how do you coach?
Well, if you can handle robot voices then its all good!
So if you want coaching PM me and we can sort it out.
But anyway, the main note that I wanted to point out is that I won't be able to do any casting until further notice
Sorry to the usual people who I cast for, and the tournaments but Ill be out for a bit!
Thanks all, and Ill still be doing replay reviews for you guys in TGM ! ^^
I'm still here to help out, and since I won't be casting I can admin more tournaments for you guys as well!
Well at the moment I can't even afford to.
As stated above I can't find a job at all so I have no income and asking family for money just doesn't feel right with me so yea. Moral issues I suppose :P
Well we can fix the robot voice super easy. This little guy is dirt cheap http://www.i-tech.com.au/products/44..._ZM_MIC_1.aspx you can get them off eBay. Actually forget that, shoot me a PM and I'll send you mine! It's been used obviously, but still in really good condition (and free!). Just get a cheap pair of headphones and clip this little baby at about jaw level and you should be fine. Obviously it's not $300 microphone quality, but it's as good if not better than most the mics you get with 'gaming headsets'. I don't use it anymore, got a nice razer headset on sale from EB games recently.
If you can scrape together $50 these are really good too http://www.jbhifi.com.au/portable/mp...one-sku-17053/, I promise if you take care of them they willl last much longer and give you much better sound quality than any 'gaming headset'.

Actually, a gaming headset is better then the Sennheiser HD 201's in terms of 'gaming'. Gaming headsets provide surround sound which is vital in FPS games, where has the HD 201's don't (I use them currently). They are designed for studios / music, whatever. I got mine for $26 on sale at officeworks a while ago
