Since im currently at work and nutting much to do, it would be great to spend time on writing a blog
Last 2 days ago, i finally got my new keyboard and mouse after waiting 1 month for it due to outta stock. The keyboard is Razer Blackwidow and the mouse is Razer DeathAdder B.E. I was never a Razer fanboy because at that time those gaming gears was way too expensive for me. I was always a Logitech fanboy. Previously before this, all my gaming gears were the Logitech G110 Gaming keyboard and Logitech MX518 Gaming mouse, even my headset were Logitech.
I never new mechanical keyboard existed until a few months back. I was wondering what is so great about mechanical keyboards. So, i did some researching and found out lotsa SC2 progamers uses mechanical keyboard and there's a few in the market such as Ducky, Steelseries, Razer, Filco and others. My friends recommended me Ducky and Filco, i wanted to get Ducky at 1st because Filco was so darn expensive but in the end i just declined and got myself the Blackwidow instead since it was earlier to get it where i was and i had a special price for it. Then i told myself, its time to change my mouse as well to Razer. Go all the way to become a Razer fanboy now.
Now im just waiting for the Razer Electra headset to be released sometime next month i think and my gaming gears is complete.
I had used a few of the Logitech keyboards and mice, however after researching a few of the Razer items, literally "Razerfied" my set-up and haven't looked back since!
Thanks for the warm welcome its great to be in the "Cult of Razer". Now waiting for the Electra headset to come out and then my gaming gears for SC2 is finally completed. Muahahahahaha
@Size: I like the look of the Electra! Glad it'll complete your "set"!
@Volition: In reality, all "gaming gear" makes a very minimal difference (if that) to anyone's game. I mean, if I were to use my set-up and go up against nGenLight using the oldest keyboard/mouse known to man; I'd still lose every single game. At the end of the day... I guess it's similar to a woman buying shoes and handbags... we buy the aforementioned items to make ourselves feel good and to add to our current set-ups!
I'm rambling... but I'm deliriously tired so it's allowed! :P
I myself also upgraded my mouse/keyboard setup not long ago. It was sort of a thing i did after i got seriously into SC2. Ive haven't been training to actually get good at a game since i played Quake 1 TF back in the day (Mad props to anyone who played, CustomTF with Bool anyone?)
So in short i went out and got myself a Daskeyboard with cherry browns, and a Razer Spectre (duck) - Im just waiting for somebody to tell me why its inferior to the deathadder. It actually fits my grip well though and i love the huge buttons. Plus, the flashy lights dazzle me...
Still considering a headset, i use a decent pair atm but no microphone.
The blackwidow is a decent keyboard just from experience be careful not to pound on the keys too much, they are somewhat fragile compared to some heaftier mechanicals out there. How's the mouse?
Wassup drstu ... yeah i heard about blackwidow having issues .. but i take care of my keyboard the 1 year warranty really comes in handy. The mouse is great, i luv it
