When Jared "PiG" Krensel returned from Korea last year I forced him to book a holiday with me to make up on some time together. The destination of choice was Surfer's Paradise on the Gold Coast, my favourite holiday location. Little did we know that we would be spending the entire time together, most of it cooped up indoors watching movies instead of relaxing by the beach. The ex cyclone that made its way through SE QLD left a trail of destruction and a bucketload of rain.
Despite this, our Level 33 apartment had really awesome views up the skyline and beach. To keep my camera occupied I tried my hand at time lapses. Enjoy!
OMG that was near where me and my mates stayed over the new year!! Awesome area, with like Oasis, Jupiters near by, what hotel is that? We stayed in an apartment place called Mari Court.

Yep that was Q1 on Level 33. The best hotel I've ever been in!
I took around 1800 photos all up on my D7000. One photo every 30 seconds using my camera's inbuilt intervalometer. Also used Aperture Priority (instead of Manual) and I'm really happy with the results. Was really interesting to flick through them all after shooting to see all the little things moving! Like the night scene where the lights flicker on and off in the hotel on the right

How many jiggawatts does your intervalometer use? Did you ask the doc if it was safe to use it?
