Today was a big day for me and one that I wouldn't trade for anything. It was a day where I did a lot of things for the first time. Which brings me to the problem of not knowing where to start. So I'll start from the beginning.

I wake up at 8:15am ready for a big day I eat, shower, pack my things and leave the house at 9:30 on the dot. I catch the bus and head to Arena Internet Cafe. It was my first time being on that side of the city as I've only been in Adelaide for roughly 2 years. I arrive at Arena Internet Cafe at 10:00am (on time for once something I was proud of). So I walk into Arena and find a computer, sit down and play a few practice games for a while completely ignoring everyone around me because I was too shy to talk to anyone. And then Velocity talks to me and starts bragging about his achievement points with the campaign, this sort of broke the ice a bit for the rest of the day. The next person I meet is fellow TCPer TCPBuu aka TCPStriker aka that annoying kid that talks way too much while he is in game. After that I meet mGGJieun who happens to be a bit of a photographer. So because this was my first LAN I was a tad nervous and inexperienced. It took me all of the two hours before it started just to get used to the absolutely massive screens that made me ashamed of my screen at home.

For the first round I have Fight an extremely strong terran who ended up coming fourth overall. We had two good games where a few key engagements which could have gone either way just happened to go his way each time and that ended up costing me the game. So down to the losers bracket I vs Raven a strong zerg who I was very nervous to play considering how bad I consider my ZvZ to be. I manage to edge through 2-1 with a couple of game changing bane hits that managed to put me ahead in the last game. After Beating Raven 2-1 I have to vs my new friend Jieun. Jieun tried his hardest with 2, 2 base all ins but luckily for me mutas op. After that I go up against eCKoKreamy an opponent who I had never beaten before and was very nervous to play. First game he goes for a hellbat drop while I'm preparing for a burrowed roach timing. The hellbat drop did next to nothing and I counter with a burrowed roach timing and manage to take the game in a quick fashion. So came game two which I went in with a strong game plan of roach hydra that managed to get me the game and take the series 2-0. Now this was my first time beating him so I was quite happy. Kreamy turned out to be a great guy and it was a pleasure to meet and vs him! And now the story turns a tad sour as I vs Coolbeans who manages to beat me 2-0 quite convincingly. So concluded my day of competing in my first LAN but the day didn't end here!

So for the rest of the day I watched games and talked with some amazing starcraft players. One of which was Light one of the best, if not the best protoss in Australia. It was a pleasure to meet him in person and hope to see him in person some day in the future perhaps at another LAN? The second amazing player who managed to win the LAN was Satu a powerful macro zerg with multiple playing styles. After he won the LAN while waiting for his ride to come we talked about some interesting topics that I hope to continue sometime soon as they were cut off a little short.

So after he left it was time for me to go home. Now it was roughly 10:30pm at this stage and it was the latest time I had stayed in the city. So I walk to the bus stop and after patiently waiting there for over half an hour I realise the bus I was waiting on doesn't run this late... So I walk 0.5-1km to another bus stop and wait half an hour for that one to arrive. It was really interesting walking through Adelaide at this time and seeing what it was like on a Saturday night. So I get home at around 11:30pm and setup my computer to it's previous glory later that day BUT with a new mouse pad that I won in the random giveaway I then find myself on sc2sea writing my first blog late at night when I should be sleeping.

So to summarise the things that I did for the first time today they were:
Participate in a LAN
Become friends in real life with someone who plays starcraft
Be in the city past 6:00pm (early I know don't tease me :P)
Be out on my own later then 11:00
Win something in a random giveaway
Meet someone who some consider famous (Light)
Meet someone from TCP in real life
Beat Kreamy
Write my first blog (technically this happened the day after as it was passed 12:00pm but I am counting as the same day as I haven't slept yet)
Not ask someone to delete a photo of me because I hate photos (you should feel special Jieun)

Thus concludes my day of firsts I hope it wasn't too boring or too grammatically wrong that it annoys people please try to remember I am writing this half asleep as I am too excited I didn't want to go to bed before doing it. (ps. Nem I talked to over 3 people are you proud?) (and Jieun commented on how much you have improved that's like 3-5 people now ) (pss. Aiman is awesome)
