Its time for another edition of “Flamga is bored at work and has heaps of stuff on his mind so why don’t I have a whinge to the great people of sc2sea” !!!!
Stream Prep >.<
You might not know but preparation for a stream takes a LOOONNNGGGGG time!!! I have recently determined how long due to starting my weekly again, which with how things are going my end might be a bi-weekly event :P (twice a week )
Also trying to find content to put on the show is quite hard, there are HEAPS of replays but lots of irrelevant ones, cheeses, cock ups and the like .... Its fun to sift however .
My First Weekly
In terms of content I was really happy with how this turned out! I felt I had so much information to give out and that I made logical sense (well I hope I did). It also enabled me to learn new things about a playstyle I have not seen before, as parts that I thought just would not work at all. Sadly there were HEAPS of streams on at the same time covering events so I am hoping that this week there will be a few more viewers!
If you did tune in please let me know what you thought! Was I talking too fast/slow, audio/video quality, too much in game or too much camera time? All the feedback I get will help, however please refrain from the obligatory “you suck” :P just constructive criticism.
Playing Ladder
I am finding ladder so much harder to play, and not because of the traditional anxiety or OMG Ima lose MMR arguement, but because I cant decide a race to play. To me Zerg feels the most natural, however Protoss is hella fun and terran is fun too!! Except when you lose to stupid things and you cant compensate >.< . Yes I can Random but I also want to improve although Randoming helps it does not allow me to improve individual knowledge of each race, as well as get a good feel for how the meta game is at the moment.
If anyone has any ideas on what I can do please let me know! It would be appreciated . Teams however RANDOM ALL THE WAY!!!
Upcoming Opportunities
I must say I will be having the best time in casting very soon and have a lot of things coming up that I am sure a lot of people will appreciate, however in a whole I would like to hear from other people where casting should head at the moment. However I am having this idea of gearing what I do head towards the general gamer, not just the hardcore SC2 person, like most of sc2sea. I want to make SC2 accessible to as many people as possible, and is part of the reason of a bi-weekly show, which means when on the cast, being excitable still, provide in depth analysis BUT still be able to explain in detail to a new viewer whats going on and why they should be excited as well!
Tokyo SC2
I cant think of the name of the tournament... IESF or something :P anyway I wanted to say quickly at how proud I am of Petraeus and how glad I am that I have donated to his cause. At minimum he will have a third place finish, alongside the greats Mafia and Sen and even then I believe he has the skill to give them a run for their money! GL man and regardless of how you do you have done me and the whole of New Zealand proud no less. Keep it up and lets see you overtake everyone else! Also you can help me with my Zerg play maybe
