Hey all, I'm overdue for another blog! ^_^
Let's start of with a quick recap over my last blog.
So last time I blogged about my recent promotion to gold, my ZvZ troubles being solved and my ZvT troubles beginning to blossom. Well to sum it up I have sorted out ZvT with a couple of standard builds that lead straight into the mid-game most of the time.
Now! Some of you may or may not know, but I recently had the pleasure of playing against one of my real life best mates Solis in the grand final of the BSG Open #24, meaning a #foreverbronze casted game! Being a nocturnal human being, I was lucky to come away with a 2 - 0 win partly thank to my lack of mistakes and partly thanks to Solis being extremely tired and sick. With that, I have recently been practicing on the NA server in order to prepare for any new tricks that I might see in the BSG Cup on Saturday as I usually see weird cheese and rushes on that server.
I feel now that I have gotten use to the very core mechanics of the game, and my progression from here on will purely depend on my refinement of timings, drone/army selection and micro decision making. Obviously I am still miles away from my goal for this year (Diamond) but I am still running with all my might.
Now that ZvZ and ZvT have been progressing well, it is time for me to start looking at better mid and late games versus protoss. I am succumbing to the evil that is known as forcefields. Now I know that without forcefields, protoss would be EXTREMELY vulnerable early game, but during mid to late game, they can really tear games up. Now instead of whinging constantly, I have been trying to actually micro my units now, and this is what I have come up with:
Burrowed roaches for escaping at the start of an engagement if I need to
Keeping my hydras a well safe distance back
Making sure my corrupters stay above/behind the colossus in order to not get them sniped too quickly
I have yet to attempt new strategies such as ling/bling/roach or ling/bling/muta against protoss, but I am guessing I will come to experiment with them sooner or later! Another unit I would like to touch on is infestors. If I am able to quickly learn new builds with all of these, I should be able to produce very varied gameplay that will result in more wins and more experience of how each unit works and how to use it in battle.
I'm hoping to advance to Platinum in the next two weeks in order to start the loooong path from Platinum to Diamond, but we shall see!
PS: My Razer BlackWidow has two 'stuck' keys, my 7 and j keys are extremely sticky and i cant type with them properly >.< I've only had this keyboard for 6 months! Aarrgh.
Until next time, peace ouTTT

Flaunt: I learned this the hard way ):
tgun: I had an incident with softdrink that resulted in the keyboard not working for a good day, dried it off and luckily it works again. But over the last few months the 7 and J keys seem to be paying the price XD
It wouldn't be a problem if I could switch the mechanical switches from my numpad over, but Razer had to go and make their shell plastic-seal and solder the switches to the circuit board <_<

I heard quite a few people complain about the life-span of bw's. But then again people use them for ages and have no problems. I believe they have a 1 year warranty?
