So, yeah. I think I've put off getting a promotion from to far too long. So, to kick myself into gear, I'm going to try to keep a blog on my journey there

And we are back with another 6 games from ThePandarine. Now, this time around I was matched with a , 2 Top 25 s, 2 Top 8 s and a . I remember just 6 games ago I was matched with just s! Blizzard, fix your MMR cause I'm not that pro! ()

Replay Pack: Panda's Road to Gold II

Game 1 - ThePandarine vs Nexo

vs . Lovely! MORE bug squashing. After defeating the last 2 Zergs, I was confident. So, Reactor Hellion Expand go go! Little did I know a 7 Roach Rush was inbound with more Roaches behind those 7. No bunker or Marauders or even Tanks to help. I 'gg' and begin to think, "Shit week inbound".

Game 2 - ThePandarine vs Lupax

vs . Oh, joy. More TvT. Oh well, 3 Reaper 3 Rax Expand go go! I send in my Reapers, deny the expo and what is this at the front? A bunker? Hmm. So I try to get some scouting with my Reapers but get denied so I just take a Xel Naga tower with the sole survivor. Around 10-12 minute mark, a lone Banshee appeared. So THAT's what the bunker was for. Ok, plonk down some turrets, take out the one harassing my main. I throw a scan, see 2 Tanks and a small group of Marines. Hmm. Look at my army and 2 Medivacs. Ah what the hell, I go in and attack, concentrating on the Tanks first then everything else. He just quits without a 'gg'

Game 3 - ThePandarine vs vincent

vs . Good grief. More TvT. Meh, go with the new build I kinda enjoy. Problem is, this player is and I could tell by the way he has his Marines in place and the micro. He goes Siege Expand. He comes to my base and we trade armies with me coming out on top. He immediately switches to Full Reactor Rax Marine Viking Medivac and just kills my MMM. I 'gg' and all he gives me is a 'hfffffff' followed by a 'gg' I don't know if its just ego or he's just as tired of TvT as I am. I see his rank is and I don't feel so bad anymore

Game 4 - ThePandarine vs WARGEAR

vs (rolls ). He tries to Proxy 3 Rax with 2 Raxes in MY base. However, I always assume players will cheese (and when they don't I am tickled pink :3) And yes, the 3rd loop around with my over-paranoid SCVs find the damn things. Just in time too! First enemy Marine comes out takes out my Marine but is soon punched to death by my SCVs! It was a matter of just keeping cool, microing a little and continuing the macro. He eventually leaves saying, 'I screwed up'. Well, not too bad

Game 5 - ThePandarine vs Drizzt

vs (rolls ). Shit. TvP. Currently the main problem IMO but I stay cool thinking, 'Another random, will you Proxy 2 Gate, Cannon Rush or 4Gate me?'. I decide to send a REALLY early scout and find....absolutely nothing in his base. Well, shit. Is he hiding a Forge? Or is he Proxy 2 Gate-ing me? I immediately search the inside of my base just to be sure cause I did not see no Probes come in. I then check outside and 'lo behold, Proxy 2 Gate. Guess what? Walled in and my Marine is out Now its just a matter of not screwing it up. I decide to go MMM with a splash of Tanks. Did one drop to deny the expo and I scout a DTS! Oh. Well, good thing I didn't spam MULES :3 He leaves without a 'gg'

Game 6 - ThePandarine vs tcp

vs . Oh sweet mother of...Well, here we go. I decide to mix things up and go for a 1 Reaper Stim Expand. I scout him going Seige Expand and decide I have to drop him before he gets enough Tanks. Little did I know, cheeky bugger drops me. :/ That's most likely the point I lost the game. Eventually I try to get him into a base trade scenario but lose most of my army to Tanks. I 'gg' knowing full well I need to really smooth things out when I go MMM vs Anything plus Tanks.


Summary? 7 - 5 in Season 6 for the Week 2 of the new season for me. Not a great week but at least I know how to react to some cheeses properly now. I really need to work on scouting and timing attacks. Macro was not much of a problem cause most of the games lasted around 20 minutes. So, I know I can keep my macro up till around 15 minutes before serious problems arise. Oh, and vs , Y U SO PAIN IN BUTT CHEEKS?!? Guess that's all I can see for myself :/. Any feedback or tips or even plain abuse from the non-chobos is good I'll see you guys around.
