It's official, i am fat.

As i can't lose weight without your help guys, i'll update the blog everyday to show my progress .
I will need your support in my long quest.

I will also post some graphs with weight lost forecast, percentages, statistics. I'll try to analyse how am i losing weight in order to improve in the future.

My target is to lose 10kg in 60 days. Cutting one of my leg would help but i will try to not cheat.

Everybody is telling me that it's bad to lose so much weight in only 2 month but screw you guys i am going home.

I spent three month in a refugee camp in Nepal and lost 20kg in the past, dropping from 81kg to 61kg, so i know it's not impossible.

What i plan:
  1. Stop drinking coke/beer
  2. Go to the gym 3 times a week
  3. Stop eating dinner
  4. Stop eating fast food
  5. Get back on the fu***ng field

Day 0 Report:
Weight: 97kg

Stop drinking coke/beer

This is a good idea, just carbs.

Go to the gym 3 times a week
Also good, try to make it 5 if possible

Stop eating dinner
No. You will need a post-workout meal, get some lean chicken for protein and brown rice, and brocolli and shove it down your throat.
Stop eating fast food
Fast food is the exact same as other food, you only get fat off it because you eat too much of it, and coke+chips and other food. The burger alone isn't great for you, but it won't kill you.

The ONLY way to lose weight, is a calorie deficient, if you eat 2500 calories a day, cut it down to 2250 and you will notice a difference. Cut it down to 2K and it will be a faster difference, 97KG of fat is hard for your body to maintain, and it will cut weight very quickly at first.
Not eating carbs will be good for your appearance as well, less water weight etc etc.

glhf losing weight

Just a thought with the workouts, depending on what you're doing, don't get disheartened if you aren't 'losing weight' per se. You may actually be adding muscle mass, which weighs more than fat, and so although you may be burning fat, you could be adding muscle and your weight might not change.

But either way, good luck and all the best!

Re: Frogmite vs the fat - day 0

as a fellow fatty i shall share with you my experience!!

im 1.88mm. before i went I to australia i was 68kg and all bones. somewhere in the third year my friend made me go gym with him and told me to bulk up and eat 6 meals a day. when he returned to sg i was left tehre with no gym buddy and no motivation but my 6 meal appetite a day remained and i became a fatty.

anyway my peak was probably near 100kg 2 years ago. i had to get married and have a wedding dinner ceremony so i lost about 15kg over 5 months for that doing lots of 10km runs 3 times week and eating less. recently i've been wanting to lose more weight so dropped from 85 to 80kg. swimming once a week, running once a week and eating less. i hope to hit 75kg over the next 2 months.

I think your plan has very good habits in place already!! for me i stopped eating fast food (limit to once a month) and same with carbonated drinks, once a week at most.

i think its important never to skip meals, that will harm your health. instead just eat less each time. like say u imagine ur self to eat this amount food at ur optimal weight

1234

and u are currently eating 1234567

so over the next month

eat 123456 the month after that eat 12345 then finally 1234

so gradually ur body and appetite adjusts to it. get use to the feeling of hunger and not being "full"...... that is a very good mentality to have and it will help u change the size of ur appetite. everytime i still feel hungry now after i've eaten i feel happy cause say to myself that means im losing weight and not harming my body.

Just eat a lot of veggies in your meals but as a rule of thumb don't mix gluten/carbs with your high protein meals. Your body will digest your food properly and make you feel satisfied. Going to gym is good but for extra motivation get a friend to join you. So much easier to push each other through intense exercise.

Re: Frogmite vs the fat - day 0

Yeah, just smaller meals and doing some exercise a few days a week makes a massive difference.

Similar to others in this thread, I am around the same height (187cm or something). At one point I was around 110Kg (2ish years ago). Just working a lot at a desk job, doing uni etc. and generally just eating whatever crap extremely fatty chinese food was in the cafeteria at uni/work made me pretty unhealthy... Basically then when we went skiing that year, had to weigh myself to get things set properly, and I hadn't really realised until then how much weight I'd put on (I was never skinny, and didn't own a set of scales).

Long story short: just eating better (get a nice roll with some salad and some lean meat on it for lunch), smaller meals (especially for dinner since you are unlikely to be doing anything active afterwards) and started going to the gym a few days a week, I dropped to hovering around ~90Kg since then. Really want to try and get that down a bit lower, but that seems like it might require a little more effort than just 'don't eat stupid things and go for a run occasionally'...

Re: Frogmite vs the fat - day 0

I just posted in Solis' blog -

For me low carb did the trick.

I was doing lots of cardio at work, playing drums etc but when I cut out sugar...

lost 1 kg a week for 12 weeks.

I did a diet called BodyTrim. I recommend it highly. If you google low carb forums you can find the rules without paying for the full diet book / dvds etc.

Goodluck!

Urr... Stopping eating a 'dinner' isnt a bad thing guys...
Whats the point of having a large meal in the part of the day where you're going to be least active / asleep?

Imo best thing to do re: foods is re-order when you eat the larger meals.
The Germans have a BIG ASS breakfast, something decent for lunch then SFA for dinner (like, snack sized shit but still healthy) and DAMN do you see some of those women?

Also eating more, yet smaller meals through the day does increase your metabolism so thats also a good idea.

Just that skipping it entirely isn't good. 100% agreed that having a large breakfast and smaller dinner is always good. I also like to eat my dinner as early as possible for exactly the same reason... Eating a large meal late at night then just sleeping is kinda silly.

--Day 1--
I did one hour of squash, drank a lot of water and didnt take dinner. No beer/coke drank too.
An examplary first day of diet.

Weight in the morning: 96kg.

Note: i am using a weighing machine bought at 9$ at watsons so my weight won't be very precise, i don't believe i lost 1 kg in one day.

Nice to have a goal thats more then just an ideal weight. Whenever i try to cut as im 110 kilos normally its for something. Usually for BJJ comps not just to get healthy. An idea is maybe if they have a fun run there or something like that? Or even just buy yourself some smaller shirts . Anything that's more tangible then i want to lose it to be healthy as i make excuses when im that vague lol.

And knowing if i don't cut weight i am gonna be smashed on the mats and lose really motivates me. More then this dam wedding i have coming up.
