I know, I know. It's been a while. A long while, since i posted a blog, which i promised would be coming every week. I apologise to all of you out there who were waiting with anticipation (my suspicion is that no one really noticed :P). However i have an extremely good reason. One that i'm sure almost all of you will be able to understand.
My life shut down for 5-7 days because i was asked to Beta Test for Star Wars: The Old Republic. That's all i can say, because of certain factors involved, but there was a latency beta test for Australia and New Zealand and i was a part of it.
Some things like the BSGCL and SC2 just took a backseat for a while, even the ESL... whoops :P.
Now i'm back, and i've got some juicy juicy information for everyone.
There won't be any results in this blog, because unfortunately i haven't been paying much attentiont to the forums or any results over the past week. I will say a big congratulations to EnDerr for winning the sunday cup on my birthday. And also a big shout out to all the Clanless people in the BSGCL under "The Chad". They are so far holding firm against KA, who i'm playing for. This will all be decided tonight ladies and gentlemen! So stay tuned. The 1st and 2nd placed teams in the BSGCL will be duking it out for bragging rights for the rest of the season. So keep an eye on the chat for casting information if theres any.
Good to see that there was a bit more support for the Go4SC2 cup this sunday. There's $75 up for grabs every week and you guys don't have to do anything except enter and play! Remember there is a minimum of 16 players in all of our cups, so unfortunately if we dont get those numbers the money will not be up for grabs.
So I think i promised you some news. Well here it is...
1/ The monthly finals for the Go4SC2 cups, which have been delayed due to unforseen circumstances, will finally be going ahead over the next few weeks. That means $250 up for grabs for 8 lucky players. I hear a rumour that the first one might be on tuesday, and that the players might be getting emailed/skyped today about their places.
2/ There's a rumour floating around that ESLSEA might be growing. More money means bigger prizes, bigger prizes means better community involvement and growth in eSports in SEA in general! How could that be bad? Keep an eye on these blogs for more developments in this area, i can't say more for now, but i really really want to.
3/ I hear that LordByrnsy (the head volunteeer admin for SC2 in ESLSEA), is actually a minor demon. Not one of those cool ones, but something like a phlegm demon... if i was to make a comparison, it would be; "where sixcube is an ultralisk, LordByrnsy is the zergling that the ultralisk backs up on and crushes as it runs from op Ghosts"
Thanks to everyone for reading again, sorry this week was a bit shorter, i promise to make next weeks a lot longer, did this one at very late notice.
Congrats to everyone who won cups. Also congrats to anyone who also beta tested SWTOR.
Until next week,
GL and HF
