Despite the title this has nothing to do with actual sex. I named it such as I thought it was a good phrase for saying "I'm playing Starcraft 2 for a year".
Anyway, this is my weekly blog on all the things I learn about Starcraft, the experiences I've had with the game and maybe a bit about my personal life as well.
Chapter 1 - My life now.
So I'm in year ten, I'm Australian, Got a Girlfriend, I'm a Silver League Zerg Player and I'm trying to get to Platinum by the end of the year a modest goal but I would rather get up with skill rather than say 6 pool my way there.
I wanted to try some other races this week, I was a little bored of Zerg and I race switch for a few days every so often, it keeps me on my feet. I tried Terran but I kept getting beat down by Banelings and I tried Protoss but I couldn't defend against those bloody mutalisks!
With this new found fear for Zerg units I went back to the Swarm. After a few games I started to learn a new trick. I tried to flank the opponents army and defeat him with just Zerglings. It work much better than I though.
Now I am using mainly Zergling, Roach, Muta, Ultra army and it works a treat.
I've been 1v1ing hard to try and get to Gold. I'm beating Golds with a 55% rate and Silvers with an 85% win rate. I think I am really close.
Till next week. Zanderax

Re: My Year Without Sex
Girlfriend > SC2 btw. Always be clear of this. Had some issues with mine because of gaming (especially WoW, that bloody time sink), had to do some soul searching to get my priorities set straight.
It's kinda serious but I talk to her a lot and SC2 seems to automatically take a back seat with her anyway, she knows I like to play and gives me some time.
