Since it's summer and I have started to commit some of my time to casting again, I've really wanted to run a show or whatever interesting event every week for SEA on my stream.
I'm aware that awesome people like System has worked on the SEA Podcast before, and there are shows like Climbing the Ladder and Meta from other regions, so I am really aiming to have something that will be interesting and informative to everyone at every level on a weekly basis.
I haven't made any decisions, even with a few plans in mind, but I'm wondering what you guys, the awesome community, would be interested in.
Would people be more interested in some streaming of game analysis or would people be more interested in news and media types of things?
Kez currently hosts a show every fortnight (I think) called the SEA News Podcast - having taken over from System - as well as a less regular "Under the Microscope" similar to SOTG and Real Talk respectively so I would work with him to see if there is something you can do which he doesn't already provide. I personally am always up for more content just not repeated content
So far, I'm getting the vibe people are more interested in a news podcast sort of thing rather than have more gameplay done? Ok this seems like it can be done.
How interested would you guys be if I can talk more about the "Asian" side of SEA? I mean the SEA Podcast that System and now Kez has been doing has really focused on the activity down in Australia, which is fair. But how many people would be interested in a Asian or slightly more Asian sort of SEA podcast?
I actually really like the idea of not a talk show - but just a Q&A show with someone notable - be it event organiser of SEA or player or caster, but a Q&A session with that person that I can host for maybe an hour and a half weekly would probably be cool yea?
Well, for me as well, anything SC2 related is good (: Although I'd really like to see some analysis as well :P
Also, arcade games with fans or just team games would occasionally be nice as well!

I think something gameplay based would be nice. In particular, replay reviewing with some good players where they explain their own games and thought processes would interest me.
Hmm okay. The problem with that is, with any major tournaments coming, a lot of the players may not want to showcase their builds to the public, and that may be a problem for me. I certainly want to do that, might have to sit on that thought a bit more.

Very good point you bring up. I feel like there will always be someone in the community at a high level who you'd be able to find despite this, but it could be a challenge to hunt them down sometimes.
The reason why I suggested this is because flamga did the same for a few weeks, then eventually stopped. It seemed like a really good idea and I haven't seen anyone else apart from HDPhoenix in really early WoL attempt this for SEA players. I still get nostalgic remembering Light on Phoenix's show explaining a game vs Redarchon. Unfortunately cant find it on his youtube channel, super old video. Heres Light vs Pokerface from around the same time:
Hmm yea... That'd be good - especially with the functions of HoTS that really help doing these replay analysis. However, I'm not sure how I'd go about on SEA in finding people to do builds. I mean not a lot of top SEA players post replays out there, and even if there are good builds, many of them will not share it with the public. I like the idea, maybe if I just get them to talk about a specific match-up instead of speaking of their own builds would be better? I'm not sure how much interest players would show to something that exposes their discovery (unless it's already been put out to a public event).
