Back when NXZ did his power ranking I really enjoyed it and his ranking was pretty to accurate to what I had in mind too. The only thing is he only made 1 power ranking. So what did I do? I pushed his face into the ground and told him to make more power rankings or David Kim will nerf infestors again. (Slight over exaggeration)
So we decided to make a monthly thing of it and I will host it on my website so that it has lovely formatting, has it's own page and keeps track of points for an overall top 3 of Zerg players of all time
Anyway, massive thanks to NXZ for doing this - I think a lot of people enjoy rankings. You can check out the page here: http://fenn3r.com/power-rank/
A little teaser to get you ladies craving more:
1. Symbol: Symbol has been on fire in February. He's gone on a tear in GSL, currently awaiting his opponent in the grand finals after dealing with curious in the ro4 4-2. He also had a solid ro16 run where despite falling down to squirtle early in the groups he bounced back to finish 2nd where he took down squirtle back to secure his plave in the ro8. And in this ro8 is where symbol shined. The biggest thing for him, in my opinion, was taking out innovation in the semis. Innovation has been looking magnificent, taking out some of the worlds best vT in dongraegu with a strong pro league performance to boot. The 3-2 win for symbol gives him this first position for this month, barely inching out second place.
2. RorO: I am going to cheat a little bit for RorO. Technically his win over teaja actually wasn't in February and therefore shouldn't be considered but it feels odd to have a game not make the cut by a single day. Regardless, RorO has had an absurd performance in proleague recently. He's taken out jaedong, flash and action in this month alone is crushing through almost all his opponents. In the GSL there hasn't been much different, he made it through the ro16 in first place, taking out both B4 and Life 2-1. It wasn't the most convincing record but considering the unfortunate inconsistency that zvz sometimes promotes it was a strong performance regardless. Heading into the ro8 he had MC, who had previously shown some interesting pvz, with a unique late game involving a heavy void ray composition that abused the lack of infested Terran upgrades. RorO managed to take him out 3-2, not the best performance but with it being his first ro8 appearance it was solid nonetheless. Finally, we have the ro4, where after a solid first game from the Liquid Terran player, RorO swept him easily in 4 games solidifying his position in the final and 2nd place in this ranking.
Stars had to align for Life to be knocked out of GSL. Sadly that's how it happened. Hope you guys enjoy it though, I personally enjoyed reading power ranks back in BW so I hope can replicate that experience. Hopefully my writing skills will improve as we go along.
