I hate it when people discuss balance without taking into consideration the skill of the player. Why? Because when people discuss balance there are always bias arguments about the adjustments that need to occur. For instance a Zerg player is more likely to say that Zerg is under powered and a Protoss is over powered, where in the reverse situation (Protoss on balance) assumes that both are fine. I just feel as though it starts unneccessary arguments about the game and it provides an excuse for players (like that certain rage happy American) to blame a race or a build, rather than improve on themselves as players.
I say this because I don't like being called the Flavour of the Month race when I've obviously played Brotoss since launch.
I'd also like to add that I think it is very unprofessional of high level players to trash balance and I definitely don't think there should be a show dedicated to it... (looks at idrA and Artosis).
I also don't think that balance should be done to cater to low level players (i.e. bronze players who can't defend 4gate).
Maybe I just hang around too much on gameFAQs so I see a lot of messy balance topics, but I'm just blogging like I see it.
