IEM SG Singapore Qualifiers
 

IEM SG Singapore Qualifiers was an awesome experience and achievement for me personally.

Just want to write a recap about the games i had there.

Ro16 - Vs Antelope(T)

G1 - Ohana. He tried some weird 3 barracks mass marine scv allin. I was worried about proxy 2 rax and open 3 gate and saw the scvs coming so held it off easily with stalker kiting.

G2 - Daybreak. he went 1 rax FE with 3 bunkers while i opened 1 gate expo into 3 gate pressure, my 3 gate pressure didnt do anything against 3 bunkers so i went back and double forge into zealot archon storm. Hit with 2-2 and storm and chargelot and won from there.

Ro8 - Vs EvEYekke(Z)

G1 - Cloud Kingdom. I opened FFE (Nexus first) as usual against zerg. Went for a 4 gate pressure with warp in around 7.40. His roach popped as my zealots and stalkers walked in so it was a pretty fail pressure. I followed it up with a +2 7 gate blink stalkers allin With 4/5 sentries and 12 stalkers? Constant warp in and good ff and blink micro won me G1

G2 - Metropolis. I opened FFE (Nexus first) once again. This time i decided to put my soul into it and go for the 3 immortal allin! I pushed out around 9 minutes with 8 gateways. Walked across the map, forcefields out all the roaches and killed the 3rd. Walk in the natural ff more and kill the natural before he GGed.

Ro4 - Vs FlashKyzer(Z)

G1 - Cloud Kingdom. I open FFE (Nexus first). I was pretty nervous so i forgot to scout for his third and left my probe at the watch tower at his side of the map. Turns out he was nervous as well as he did not clear my probe there. I saw a line of lings crossing the map towards my base. I checked for 3rd immediately and found nothing. 3 cannons and chronoed sentries secured my victory against an incoming baneling bust.

G2 - Ohana. I open FFE (Nexus first) into 3 immortals 8 gate soul train. Kyzer tried to intercept my army mid map with a handful of roaches and lings, Good forcefields from me caught about 6 roaches and 10 lings for a price of 1 sentry. I just pushed into his 3rd and warping in stalkers, my firepower was too much for him and he GGed.

Winner Bracket Finals - Vs EvEDougy(Z)

G1 - Cloud Kingdom. I open FFE (Nexus first). Went 4 gate pressure but the pylon was denied. But i adjusted my build for a much faster +2 and blink so i hit by 10 minutes with +2 and blink but only 2 sentries. Dougy skipped roaches for 1-1 lings but it was not enough against +2 blink stalkers with blink micro. He GG shortly after his 3rd was killed.

G2 - Ohana. I open FFE (Nexus first). Noticing that he skipped roaches in game 1, i decided to go for the Manly 7 gate allin with 1 gas. Managed to hit my timing at 7.40 warp in and took the game with multipronged warp ins of zealots and stalkers everywhere.

Grand Finals - Vs FlashKyzer(Z)
First Bo3
G1 - Cloud Kingdom. I open FFE(Nexus first) into fast third( 7.30 third off 3 gates). Kyzer saw the third and did his trademark make hatcheries @ every base with gas and go mutas for containment. I teched up to blink stalkers and storm while defending against the mutas. The mutas did not do much damage as i was quite prepared for them. After storm finished, i decided to attack him while putting down 10+ cannons at my natural. My army walk across the map and killed his 4th and 3rd. He killed my 3rd with a ling and muta base trade. On the way to his 3rd, he had a huge baneling land mine prepared and it killed all my sentries/zealots and some HT. I took a ninja 3rd where he didnt scout for sometime. But him being with 10 gas and teching to BLs, i have no answer and eventually lost to the BL infestor army.

G2- Ohana. I decided to 3 immortal allin once again. However, this time i was tilted by the previous game and did not execute it perfectly. My build order was wrong, the attack was delayed, forcefields were bad and i took a 0-2 in the first Bo3 in the Grand finals.

2nd Bo3

G1 - Cloud Kingdom once again. I opened FFE(Nexus first). I decided to do what has done the best for me this tournament. ALLIN. I went for the 3 immortal 8 gate allin once again. With good positioning at kyzer's 3rd. I took the game with ease.

G2 - Daybreak. Kyzer was tilted by the immortal allin and went for a 2 base hydra nydus allin. Didnt work as i scouted the nydus with an obs before he planted one down. He nydused the outside of my base but with 3 cannons 2 immortals and many sentries, i held it off and he GGed shortly.

I was relatively happy with my performance this tournament!
