So today I tried logging in and failed like 15 times

went to battle.net and couldnt log in,

When I tried to recover my password and my account details, it would just tell me my name and email confirmation didnt match, and same with my number.

I have collectors ed D3 and TW accounts tied to the account so its worth $200+ -.-

on the 5th (3 days ago) I got a random message from Blizzard telling me "this is your verification code" with a 6 digit number, but I thought nothing of it, stupidly.
I should have jumped on ASAP and changed my pw FUUUUUUU

So yeh, I'm going to have to call the hotline tomorrow since the australian Time for the line to open is between 2am and 3pm O.O

Edit:I think he log in when he got the code or something.
Just that the "fake" link or whatsoever was the place logged on to.

Ouch man, that's incredibly heart-wrenching.

I am pretty sure Blizz will be able to recover your account but I imagine all your stuff in D3 will be stripped. Still I feel like getting the accounts back intact is the main thing. Hope it goes well.

Nah never clicked on some dodgey link, or anything like that,

when I got the code on my phone sent to me I ignored it,, and was playing sc2 on a smurf at the time,

For this reason I have an authenticator attached to my primary battle.net account, even though i don't use it! Sorry to hear man. Fortunately you'll get everything back in due time.

Ok so after a little wait on the phone, (about 10 mins)

It was taken care of really quickly, and yeh, got my account back,

On a positive note, I actually ended up with 5 times more gold on my D3 account than I did before LOL

whoever it was bought a bunch of random shit, but then gold farmed for ages I assume on my account, so yeh,, lmao thanks for the gold pal

What probably happened was that they bought a 'powerlevelled' account from a dodgy seller. I say a dodgy sell because the 'legit' powerlevellers use clean accounts, not stolen ones. They probably knew that you would just be able to retrieve your account, I imagine the sad sack that bought your account didn't though.
