My favourite movie of the year. Highly recommended. And this above is a much better trailer then the "pick scenes from various parts of the movie and compile it all together" crap usually shown.

The two leads, young Xavier / Magneto and their outstanding acting/character development made the movie. Two extremely charismatic individuals with each their own polar opposite ideals and beliefs, their friendship and development of their relationship the real story. When i saw the original trailer i was like cmon this looks terrible, you can do better xmen! But god 15 mins into the movie and i was amazed on how those two leads were the most perfect cast roles i've seen in a long time.

Loved the take on a young sweet talking Xavier chatting up chicks with his witty routine on human genomes. Loved the emotional satellite dish / bonding scene, loved magneto walking calmly into the nazi den followed by his 0 reload time knife throw (omg must see lol!) and that drowning encounter where they first meet. The other characters were just forgettable background noise providing the gfx and comic relief. With the exception of wolverine of course who happened to be my #3 favourite character in this instalment even though he lasted a total of ten whole seconds, those were 10 whole seconds of pure awesomeness. Didn't really like kevin bacon, i felt if they had some one like "the jew hunter" from that tarintino show it would have been perfect.

Far and away the best X-men Series thus far and my #1 favourite movie of the year slightly ahead of thor. I just hope they keep making more X-men stuff when they are young. And dont bother staying for a easter egg at the end of the credits, there isnt any marvel just trolololing you!

I was equally blown away too!! All the references to the comics made this my movie of the year. HUGE Xmen fan (thou they did change some timelines, but for the most part, it fits very nicely in the comic book frame)

Only the marvel movies always have easter eggs at the end... and since this is not a marvel movie...

Went and saw this today. Decent film, but i went in with high expectations, which it didn't fully live up too. The supporting X-Men/Mutants were a bit weak imo. Good story for Professor X, Magneto, Mystique + Beast.

I loved how everything was written so nicely - especially WHY mystique chose to join magneto, and their diversifying idealogies leading to their split.
