New Beginning
 

Hey guys,

I have a day off tomorrow and my mid year physics exam is on on the horizon so I asked myself, who am I and what do I want to do? I know these are the sought of question your grandma asks you when you visit her at Christmas but it is nonetheless a question I had never really seriously though of. Currently in my final year of high school I am studying specialist, methods, physics, business management and English language, having completed VCE Accounting last year and achieving a study score of 35. Presuming I can maintain a C/B average equating to a study score of around 30-33 in all my subjects I will get an ATAR of around 88, my goal being above 85, so this is more than achievable. What do I do with this number though? I came to a few options; one, mechanical engineering, two, international relations and three, accounting. Mechanical engineering I want to do as it is a high paid skill and is very interesting to myself, as well as being a family tradition to do some form of engineering. International relations because I really want to go to Korea and get a job in eSports, with this degree along with a minor in Korean I feel this could be easily worked towards. Finally accounting due to the fact it seems like something you can get done, get paid and move on, I like routine.

So there are my degrees done, but what about beyond my own education? I decided to assess my hobbies throughout the years and the memorable things I had done, here is what they were;

1. Won a school trebuchet competition
2. Played numerous trading card game son a fairly high level
3. Played COD4 a high level
4. Received the highest score in the year level and an English award for a magazine I did on eSports
5. Manage to get above average in specialist tests T_T"

All these things were competition related and partly related to gaming. This could only mean one thing, my true dream is to become one with eSports, dedicating myself to its growth across the globe. It seemed obvious to me but to truly to commit took a lot of thinking.

What now then? Well I have decided creating a team house is certainly something I wish to do, especially after seeing the Iris video. Secondly, begin Korean classes seriously rather than just doing lessons casually online. Between study periods play 5 ladder games and after each one think about the game rather than just searching again. Now last but not least is to study more, as I have become very lazy...

I hope I didn't bore anyone but I feel figuring out your passions and your goals in life are important for anyone of any age, regardless of how far-fetched they are. I would love to share this journey with you so I will start blogging more and more often about things such as; Teknnicity's results, my schooling, wne found hobbies and friends and my path to a career in eSports.

Thanks means a lot! I can be really silly and hyperactive but in general I get tired and then think about my life direction and then get pretty stressed and anxious...

Im also in my final year at high school. Good luck man, for me grades really are irrelevant at this point (Want to do my chefs apprenticeship) and continue university later in life as a mature age. It's funny seeing soo many people soo stressed about life in year 12, as if there entire life is decided through a series of tests at the end of the year.

Ugh Year 12 Physics! I'm doing it as well, so maybe we can chat and see if there's anything we can help each other with, cos I know I'm dreading my mid year slightly Good luck with your eSports goals, I have my own set which I hope it fulfil at one point or another.
