MMA

Hi guys, I've been very lazy since sc2 came out quit playing football (AFL) and became less active in general so I decided to break out of been lazy and try out something I normally wouldn't so I choose MMA.
I found a MMA gym close by been going for around a month and I'm loving it.
Been getting hurt alot as you can see below, mainly brusies but I'll just harden up still having lots of fun.

The main classes are Muay Thai and BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu). Muay thai is kick boxing with clinches, elbows, knees and throws. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is like wrestling but it's all about controlling the opponent and looking for a submission, very technical and cool, I've seen a few UFC and been like 'yawn they're just rolling around' but once you get on the mat and try it you realize how difficult it is.
If there is a boxing gym, kick boxing or MMA near you get down and try it out, you might be surprized how much fun you have!

I do (or did...never been back to the dojo) the Jap version of Jiujitsu...sparring and grappling...its intense man XD and fun as hell! ah,what id give to have the time to do it again T_T

Yeah man, ive done boxing since i was like 14, been doing it for the last 3 years. The best decision ive ever made it my entire life.

I knew UFC was pretty big in australia, and although i am not into it, i realised that plenty of people i knew were. Then i heard a story on triple J, basically that Australia had a massive UFC market. here is an article i found
