Hey guys!

With the flurry of PM's and such of asking things to be done, I thought its about time I let you all know whats going on

Currently I have organised for a month holiday over to England so I can chill out, and cause I can but also to think things through. Because I have had a hell of a time coming up with an answer I thought I would put it to the general populous of sc2sea (all you lovely sc2 nerds )

So as most people know here I have been actively casting, trying my hand at it and loving every minute of it. The further I have gone with casting I have been able to obtain much higher profile events to cast, i.e. the T1 SEACL which was awesome fun and the NZ LAN the other weekend which I livecasted and got some great feedback.

However, I feel for these sort of events I need to put more than 50% of my time into my casting knowledge and skill, with my other 50% of my time into achieving a high level of play in sc2 (i.e. making GM)

So this is where I put it to everyone: I will be taking the month of to gather my thoughts on what I should do, and of course I would like your feedback as well as any ideas, criticism or anything YOU would like me to think about, whether it be good or bad.

I love Starcraft and want to put my entire being into it either by casting or playing, AND im actually willing to make my work go around my casting if need be, which is why this is such a big decision for me to make.

Finally, when I do make a decision deciding between the two I will definately post back here letting you all know!!!

IMO - 100% of your effort into getting GM, then 100% of your effort into casting.

Not only is game knowledge important, but it's almost like a Starcraft qualification you can put on your Starcraft CV.

Which is a thing now.

I'd go with what Apth said. Get first, then get into casting.

Perhaps not GM, but high masters definitely which you arent really that far from. But definitely keep up the casting its baller, and there are popular casters who are only play/dia etc and still have heaps of followers n people who love them. cant wait till ya come back n see what happens!

Yeah agree with kez, aiming for can sometimes set you back because you are focusing on getting a perfect win streak on ladder etc rather than aiming to improve your skill.

Thanks guys that really does help with what I want to do, I think I have actually made up my decision already lol might head to the random route for a few months and practice specific matchups to get better

Good call man. A couple of hundred games as random will give you some seriously expansive game knowledge, which will be valuable as hell as a caster.

Good on you Flamga man (: aiming high and going for what you want to do is inspiring man. I wish you luck and im expecting the bear minimum of 20 football kits for Spartaz on your way back
